Sahin doesn't exist, I'm convinced of it.

Called it the other day. We're onto something. Man City haven't been linked, so I think they invented him.

Id rather we kept Bellamy for another year than sign Sahin.

Am I missing the joke? They play completely different positions and we did want to keep Bellamy but he wanted to move closer to home.

Tom Ince never looked anything special for us. Certainly should not have been demanding a big contract at 17/18, I doubt he'll have much of a career tbh. Relegation fodder/championship level.

TBH if a quarter of the stuff about Sahin turns out to be true I hope you guys get him, don't want someone who messes around so much at Arsenal. If it's true that is. :pac:

Joey Barton tweeting all afternoon about the disgraceful attitude of the club towards the Hillsborough Justice Committee. Here's a few of the highlights:

Don't have much time for Barton but he has plenty of followers on twitter. Anyone know if there's any truth in the above?

    Getting??!!?

Until I see the man wearing a red shirt with a liver bird passing the ball to 1 of Suarez,Gerrard or Lucas, he is not joining us!

I wasnt making a joke or talking about 'fact'. I was loosely referring to the heart of both players in terms of the shirt.

In short, i wouldnt want Sahin (or any other) near the club who isnt 100% up for the job at hand. He is like the new Aquilani around here for the droolers.

Barton has been pretty vocal about the Hillsborough justice campaign in the past, pushing the petition on Twitter to get it signed and so on.

It's clear that as a person from Liverpool it means a lot to him. I doubt he would tweet this if he hadn't been told it tbh.

Whether or not what he has been told is true, however, is a different matter. I honestly would have no idea.

We had a bit of a debate on here some time back that kinda ties in with what Barton is saying.

There is more than one group campaigning for the 96. Some are recognised officially by the club, and some are not.

I had my own axe to grind earlier this year on that topic, but if it is the same thing as earlier this year then it is really odd timing from Barton to be bringing it up now.

Are you referring to JFT96 on the back of the new jerseys and the issues that arose over that, or did I miss something?

    That's the issue I'd imagine

Apparently it's to do with the fact that they're trying to raise approx. €150,000 for a city centre memorial to the 96 and have about half that raised. He's making the point that the club have not donated to the memorial.

Barton was in the hjc shop across from anfield the other day. Must have stemmed from that

Yeah that and one or two other things from roughly about the same time including the fund rasing for a new memorial.

I think the important thing for anyone involved with any of the seperate campaigns to remember (or for anyone who supports any of them) is that we are all on the same side and have the same goal in mind.

Little divides don't do any good and only weaken the cause as a whole. Barton has been a good voice at times for the HJC and I am directly involved with the HJC so I carry a bit of bias in my own thinking at times as well, but there are times that some of his outbursts on the topic feel a bit self serving and this one if it is coming from what was said months ago is really a case of bolting the door after the horse has run.

Bellamy wasn't 100% up for the job, strange that you wanted us to keep him though.

Liverpool's squad list for next gen series.

Has probably been posted but I only found it when searching to see if there was any more news on Armin Hodzic. Haven't heard much since he scored two in two a month or so ago.

Edit: Also, J Fernandez is Suso for anyone worrying! :D

What was wrong with Teixeira? He disappeared off the face of the earth for about a year after we signed him.

I'm sure if he were to come he'd be up for it to be fair. If he wasn't, why come?!

We're gonna have to be prepared to fight hard to convince top players to come to us because of our current place in the pecking order. Not wanting players because they may need to be convinced to come to Liverpool is a tad silly IMO.

Confirmed #LFC team: Reina, Robinson, Carragher, Agger, Kelly, Henderson, Spearing, Adam, Shelvey, Sterling, Borini

    Liverpool FC @LFC
Subs: Jones, Coates, Downing, Lucas, Allen, Flanagan, Morgan

Disappointed not to see Coates in the starting line-up.
