Not really if the player is going against his will

Somebody ring up Sahin and see what the story is.

lol, don't do it to yourself. He'll be an Arsenal / Milan player soon enough.

Are there any good Sahin chants on the go yet?

Why are all the posters posting above then saying we are?

At this stage I don't care if we do or don't, any other goss on Dempsey at all?

They're not. That's what all the roll-eye smilies and jokes should be telling you.

Those posts are either tongue-in-cheek (based on last week and the fact this news is coming from Marca) or skeptical but hypothetical 'if we signed him' stuff.

We are not signing Nuri Sahin.

He'd be trying to play himself back into the Madrid team. Wouldn't make any difference whatsoever imo. He's not coming here but still.

Must be more to it than Rodgers' press briefings and the NESN website foul-up, then...

    On Sahin-watch:
    Sid Lowe‏@sidlowe
Sahin: he wants to go to Ars. Mou doesnt want him but also reluctant to lose permanently and/or to a ChLg club, wld rather diff dstination

Didnt they inquire about his availability . Unsettle him then never bid .
Thats fulhams view of the situation anyway.
They probably think he was encouraged to go on strike to get him cheaper.
I cant see the deal happening now.

Is that not a re-hash of what all the ITK's were saying last week!? God I hate this stuff, roll on Sept 1!

If talking about players at other clubs is such a big deal, then 'Arry should have been in hot water on a weekly basis.

Maybe we should put in a complaint against Pardew over his comments last month on Carroll.

I was stunned last week when Jol complained that LFC made an enquiry about Dempsey and didn't follow up with an offer.

So you cannot ask about a player's availability or price without submitting a bid?

Also, Dempsey has been rumoured to Liverpool since around April so how could BR have unsettled him?

Sky Sports understands Swansea have tabled a bid for Blackpool star Tom Ince.

We'll probably buy him back for about £18 million in three seasons time.

Goldmember is annoyed because his player is on strike and he wants someone to blame for it

I was very bummed that we let him go in the first place, but given how he's progressed, that's evey more grating...

He has progressed to be fair and he was good for our youth teams but iirc he had an attitude problem - open to correction but think he had a questionable attitude

asked for a bumper contract afaik, club told him where to go. Rumours of him being a bit of a Billy Big Balls...

    So am I.

When we signed Carroll they said 'Sky Sports News don't understand that Liverpool have bid 35 million for Andy Carroll'.

I am absolutely convinced that the ITK's haven't a fucking clue with regard to this Sahin deal, or quite possibly any deal.

They're stringing bits of info together and pulling stories out their arse.

Give up even thinking about Sahin, it is in no way a realistic transfer option for us. IF, massive IF here, we wake up someday to see that he has indeed signed, then it will be fantastic. But the likelihood here is that he will sign for a CL team, be it Arsenal, Milan or whoever.

Tbh I'm getting more ambivalent to that Sahin deal the longer it drags out. At this stage I just want closure as to who he goes to; whether its us or yourselves. Basically; I don't want it stalling any other business we intend to do before the close of the window.

Didn't have the info and too wrecked to go looking for links but was fairly certain he asked for far greater wages when negotiating alright, should be interesting to see how he does at Swansea - They've been smart with their signings so far
