    I wont hold my breath, but i'll be pleasantly surprised if it is.

    It makes some sense given its the run-up to christmas, not that it would need a holiday to boost sales. They're pretty much guaranteed massive sales as it is

    The parachute screen reminds me of Just Cause 2, hopefully there's a little bit of that in the game.

    Interesting that 3 more pic spaces have shown up. I imagine will get 3 more pics on Friday.

    Also, that bridge (no barriers on the sides) looks like its for traintracks.

    There seems to be quite a bit of discontent online with the oldish dude being the probable protagonist.

    What's the consensus here? I'm happy with it.

    Wasn't aware of any dicontent. I have no problem with the protagonist in this game

    Nah but seriously, I wouldn't care if the protagonist was an 80 y/o dude who needed a Zimmerframe, I just want more GTA. :)

    I got caught up in the buzz of GTA IV - bought it, played it for a while and then got bored....I think I am in the majority.

    Never thought about the next game and what it would be like but now with these screenshots I have to say I am curious. Will I get caught up in the hype and buy on launch....maybe, but I don't know what the problem is in releasing a bit of product info...a couple of screenshots every few months is silly.

    A my two cents - the best GTA game is Vice City - San Andreas was great but just too big and having to exercise\eat\etc.. was more responsiblity than I wanted in a video game

    I'm not sure you are and that wasn't the impression that I got at the time, either.

    GTA IV wasn't perfect but it gets way too much stick. Moving to a serious story was a brave move and didn't please everyone. Personally I found the story slightly too serious in that the ending genuinely left me upset and questioning my actions and decisions which had taken the story to that point. I won't criticise them for trying to add some genuine gravitas to the story though.

    I'd like to play it again now I just find the control clunky compared to RDR. That's a recurring problem with GTA games actually - the controls tend to date the games very quickly.

    Imo a November release is only realistic if this game is not going to be a 100% new build and since the parachute looks the exact same as the one in The Ballad of Gay Tony then I reckon this release date could be true.

    Nope. Rumours are placing it anywhere from November 2nd to June next year.

    So this is entirely wild speculation, but we have an older protagonist (based on the released media so far) - what are the chances of them utilising a Max Payne 3 style narrative where we see the story from "now" but get flashbacks to the characters younger years? That'd be pretty awesome, allowing them to maintain practically the same map, dropping and adding bits and pieces and swapping a few textures, but also tweaking the atmosphere into differents eras (80s, present, maybe even 60s?).

    Totally unfounded beyond pure guessing, but I like it.

    So long as he can do the actions he needs to do and isn't hindered by his age, it's fine. Makes no difference.

    If you were in the middle of a firefight, saw a rocket launcher on the ground, went to pick it up and the character put his back out, then I'd understand the discontent :D

    That would be awesome. But we haven't seen anything yet to suggest that the game spans multiple eras.

    It would open them up to revisiting story lines like what happened to CJ after SA, or what happened to Brian (CJ's brother) and the like.

    I'd love to see it done, but I think if it were to happy, we'd have gotten a screenshot with a vintage car or something in it.
