gaston ramirez looks to be heading to Southampton, thats a big coup for them especially with rumoured interest from Liverpool and Spurs.

It would appear that the Liverpool interest was Pre Brendan Rodgers

Mentioned on the LFC thread - suprising that no bigger club came in to swoop for him considering the hype about him.

Good young player though and must be brilliant for Southampton supporters to see that happening for them.

I'd say Southampton are at least as big as Liverpool! :p

Is that what it says on football manager where you seem to get most of your opinions

After buying Allen and Borini would Liverpool have the cash for another 10m + signing?
Supposed to be a player wanted by the old management.

I made several points but you won't or fail to address them.
I didn't laugh I merely pointed out ''apparently'' just like you pointed out ''seem'' in my earlier post. I guess it was you that jumped the gun after all. Carry on though. You are good at this.

    Any more ITK info?

Don't mean to butt in on a good thing, but what are you talking about? He said the Sahin to Liverpool reports appeared to be premature, something which was proven to be correct?

He had better go out and get some work done for me before he even thinks about playing with the ladies in blue.

Surprising with Walker there, can he play on the left?

Feel free to contribute. He claimed I jumped the gun on the transfer which I didn't. I made it quite clear the transfer wasn't done and that he jumped the gun by accusing me :)

It's actually quite clear if you follow the thread and not just jump in at a particular post :)

Football manager is the best game ever created. You watch what you say or you will be dealt with accordingly sir!

I have no problem with the game itself. It's the basing opinions solely on what the game tells you. It's quite nice to watch lots of football as I'm sure you know :)

Ps, football is the greatest game ever invented

But it's really accurate most of the time, they have like 10,000 scouts who contribute info. Even David Moyes and Everton signed a deal with Sports Interactive to have access to their data on players.

HSV just signed Milan Badelj from Dinamo Zagreb. I've seen him play IRL no more than 10 times, but because of Football Manager (he was my captain for years in FM10) I feel like I know everything about him already :pac:.

But at the end of the day it's a game. And for every wonderkid they discover they big up players who never hit the heights. Cavenaghi, Kerlon, Adu and there's probably more but it's been so long since I've played it.

IMO there's no substitute for watching football and basing your opinions on players that way.
No harm to do a little research to find out about players you can keep an eye out for but to solely base your opinion on a player on what someone else thinks of a player is wrong IMHO.

I'm just kidding, I know there's no substitute for real football. If there's a new player on the block who just been signed by someone from Turkmenistan or wherever, I'll still go to FM to get a basic idea about him.

But I will defend football manager to the death because of all the times people have said I waste my time playing it!

    I wouldn't dream of doing that :)

Nuri Sahin has the German citizenship as well (since May 2011, afaik), he played for decades with Borussia Dortmund, incl. youth academy level, that's why he is in the focus of the media in Germany.

I wouldn't mind him going back to Dortmund, since Kagawa left, they are quite mediocre

You need to relax Lars. This time last year many BVB supporters were ****tin' the brick at the realisation that Sahin was no longer with us, and Gündogan was brought in as his replacement. Kagawa was also coming off a long lay off after his injury at the Asia Cup back in January too. Gündogan took a good 2-3 months to find his feet at the club despite a fair bit of criticism from fans and media alike, he was excellent in the second half of last season and proved Klopp was right in keeping the faith in him. Kagawa likewise took some time to get going again. At worst, if we are 6 points off the pace come the Christmas break then I for one will be content. Hopefully that includes progression into the KO rounds of the Champions League.

More delusion from someone who thinks Lescott is a better player than Agger and that Savic is on a par with Agger. Carry on

Never said Savic was on par with Agger, and I said there was not alot seperating Lescott or Agger but I would choose Lescott over him for his versatility. ;)
