Going to the game on Saturday. Stoked to see Santi too, although I'm not sure he'll start.

Kyle Bartley having a medical at Swansea tonight. So that's another off the books.

And tweets coming through that Angel Rangel will move in the opposite direction - not sure about that one

EDIT - to cover while Sagna recovers perhaps ?

That's great news, Swansea won't be a bad spot for him. Need to thin out some of the lads.

Surely he will be starting? I don't think we can afford to not start him, he is the only player along with Arteta that will provide proper cohesion to the team which is what we need at the minute.

He wouldn't be as good as what we have i'd think. Can't see that happening at all to be honest.

Bartley permanent or loan? Would be a shame to not even give him a chance.

Hopefully, but he just played in Puerto Rico so...

Seeing on Twitter that Bartley might be a permanent deal.

Jeez, remember thinking he and Ayling would be our future CB pairing.

I heard that we wanted them to pay some of his wages while on loan. To me that's just more penny-pinching and holding things up. If we were really interested this deal would have been done long ago.

As much as RVP going is crap, I'm still really excited and confident about this season, I really don't think RVP leaving has disrupted the team at all. I love signing new strikers and playing them, really confident with both Podolski & Giroud.

Good to see Bartley move on watch him a fair bit with Rangers and never felt he'd come into the Arsenal team.

Would love one more big signing and I'd have no complaints

i cannot wait to see cazorla in action

You won't be dissapointed. Saw the friendly on Sunday against Cologne, Cazorla was a class above. Pod and Giroud were excellent too. Giroud would have had a hat-trick if it wasn't for some great saves.

    Permenant deal for Kyle

    @kylebartley22....

Swansea deal complete. Very happy.. Was an extremely tough decision for me to leave arsenal, but felt the time was right...

Was told my chances of game time this year would be limited, and as an ambitious young player I wanted to play in the premiership...

Swansea offered me an opportunity.. And I'm extremely excited to start my career here, will always be thankful to arsenal for my education..

Now I'm here I will give 100% for Swansea. Thankyou everyone who has been behind me. New chapter for me.. And I can't wait. Kyle

Yeh but its been said now that himself has left and freed up wages were now offering to pay all of his wages the only snag left if Mourinho who want him to go to Liverpool hink hell be guaranteed his game week in week out and less likely the player will want to stay at Liverpool plus his good relationship with Rodgers, but the player wants Champions League and Arsenal. Hopefully the player wins that battle of wits.

Taken from the comments section of one of the BBC's articles, don't necessarily agree with the first sentence but love the second one.

I can't help but admire Wenger, he is a master of getting the best out of a player then getting the most cash for them later.
RvP is fragile and 29. He had a great season, so perfect timing to cash in. Make some noises about wanting to keep him but in the background buy younger, better replacements. Play a few big clubs off against each other and milk them for as much money as possible

Yep, Wenger, who has admitted it is not "ideal" to sell RVP has planned all this very well hasn't he?

Some are quite delusional alright, if thats your point?

can help but think of this with wenger & transfers, even though it's probably the board

Is ideal said anywhere other than the sky sports headline? Because the quotes I've read he was saying selling van Persie to a rival wasn't what we wanted, not selling him full stop.

Wouldn't mind him staying good player, but really looks like he is gone

You make a lot of bold claims like you're more 'in the know' than the rest of us. What's your source, because without us knowing that you may as well be one of a million other twitter users that spout 'insider knowledge'? Not a dig, genuinely wondering.
