Reports coming in and gathering steam that weve hijcaked Sahin of Liverpool ya never know if we did ill be one happy fan, which ever team he goes to will be getting a quality player.

That would be brilliant, especially after this last 24 hours (not that I've ever seen him play mind) . How trust-worthy are the sources

M'vila is a nut job who is meant to be a nightmare to manage. With Song getting the boot cos of attitude issues I doubt Arsene will pounce for M'vila.

Id promote Le Coq to a starting berth. He's defensive minded, strong, decent little passer and not Alex Song.

Anybody think Ramsey might be moulded into a defensive player?? He doesn't seem to great at getting forward like.

Also what is it about African players at Arsenal? They seem to wanna run a mile once they have one good season with us.

    Oh no you didn't!

*For the record, I kind of thought this too

I remember watching Ghana play a year or so back and there defensive mid left quite an impression on me so if Song does go we wouldnt go to far wrong replacing him with this guy.

Anthony Annan I think his name was.

Well Sky Sports are reporting it, and AFCCamden on twitter who got the Van Persie transfer to United and Cazorla transfer right so far has said it so i have some hope.

In fact camden said before the Van Persie deal was announced then when Van Persie goes Sahin will come as in case of one needed to go to make way for the other. Would soften the blow a bit plus if Liverpool get him I wouldn honestly start to wory about them being good again.

Can't find anywhere Sky Sports are saying this. Also, AFCamden never mentioned we were hijacking the deal, sadly. He mentioned that the deal with us was in place though. Would love if we did nick him from though :P

He can play dm or futher up the pitch, is a great tackler and a brilliant passer of the ball would be a brilliant addition to any team.

With Sahin they'll be a lot closer to us than they were last year and if Rogers managed his resources right then they'd be a genuine contender for the CL places.

AFCamden never said we were hijacking it but he did say a deal was in place, others have said were hijacking it, the reports are that since Van Persie left were willing to pay all of his wages and not just a percentage.

I think Newcastle have a stronger squad than either Spurs or the Pool. They haven't lost any of their best players and have strengthened the team again this summer. They landed that Anita lad from Ajax today who is supposed to be top notch!

Spurs have lost Ade, Saha and Modric and are looking very thread bare up front, AVB has a big job on his hands there. though they probably will strengthen before the end of the month. M'Vila is looking likely at this stage. They need a striker though.

Liverpool have only added Allen so far (I think?). I'm sure Rodgers will be better than Daglish but at the end of the day most of the squad just aren't very good players bar the few obvious exceptions.

Even without RVP I think we'll make top four without as much trouble this season. Apart from City I genuinely don't think there's any gulf between us and the rest of the top 4.

AFCamden also saying Wilshere wants the number 10 jersey :D let him have it hes Gunner true and true, also say his rehabilitation is going well.

I love how ever since the Cazorla deal AFCamden has become gospel for everything! Seems pretty reliable though in fairness.

Saw that, he's back to running outside again. Can't think of anyone better to give the no.10 shirt to tbh.

He also got the Van Persie transfer right aswell, so hes the most reliable source ive seen so far this summer and that includes the likes of Sky Sports etc.

I remember him at the last world cup, he looked really quality. Hasn't had any sort of outstanding career at club level so far - played at Rosenborg, then Shalke, now Vitesse Arnhem. He's 26 now.

He strikes me as a Makelele-like player, good defensively, very tidy in possession, but doesn't get forward much. Imo he could do very well on the big stage. Maybe there have been some off field issues or something holding back his club career.

I think Liverpool will improve quite a bit this season and it'll be shown just what a terrible job Kenny did since Christmas.

Anyway, only 2 days til the first match of the season, how do people see us getting on for the first half a dozen matches? I'd really hope for 2 wins to start the season with the run we have after that. 13 points out of the first 6 matches would keep me happy. :pac:

This piece is from Jaime Sanderson of the young guns blog.
    http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/908799-arsenal-to-meet-with-alex-song-this-week-to-discuss-his-future

Seems Wenger is more furious with Songs agent more than anybody else. Looks a little bit more promising that he might stay.

Remember reading somewhere that Song is the last man Darren Dein has at Arsenal.
Hope that man never represents another Arsenal player again, nothing but bad news.

Its so so true. He is the agent behind nearly every big saga and id say he is fanning most of the flames.

Of course his father fighting for control of the club would be another motive.
And he was shagging Tamara Ecclestone once upon a time...GOD i hate him

Lets hope this AFCamden on twitter is as reliable as we seem to think he is because he reckons Walcott is happy at Arsenal and they expect him to sign a new deal. Wonder will it be the 100k he was reportedly after.

    Edit: 4 year deal apparently.
