PSI Judge Anderson is far hotter than both of them and she's completely fictitious.

Ah yes. San Dara el Bullocko

All I know is I'd tap it. And that's all that matters.

Sandra Bullock? Really? Quite low down the list of attractive Hollywood actors, and also has one of the worst filmographies to boot!

She looks like Michael Jackson. And apparently I'm not the only one to notice.

    Sandra-Bullock-Michael-Jackson-Moonwalker.jpg

Therefore turn down the lights a shade and Retr0 would probably tap The King of Pop.

    That's pretty sick stuff man.

And Retr0 looks so young in that little school girl outfit Michael Jackson would have probably had him as well!
I may delete this post if requested, if requested by anyone except Retr0 that is!

One of the most annoying things to man happened this morning.

I was woken up early by the smoke alarm chirping every 10 seconds. Needs a new battery.

The ceilings are high in the house, so you need to stand up on a chair to reach them. I dragged a chair out to the landing (also to note, it was missing the seat part so I had to try to balance on the wooden frame) and managed to get the smoke alarm open in my sleepy daze.

The 9v battery wouldn't come out easy, so I ended up breaking one of the contacts getting it out. Didn't care though, it was driving me mad at this point. Just wanted it to stop.

Got down off the chair, was walking back into the bedroom...

    'CHIRP!'

IT WAS THE OTHER ****ING SMOKE ALARM DOWNSTAIRS!

    AH!!!!!

I have a UK Xbla a/c for just such occasions but it only works for downloading demos and free stuff, to buy full indie titles you still need a credit card registered at a UK address, I assume its the same with any attempt at obtaining a US Xbla a/c from these shores.

    Not true good sir.

I purchased the full Castle Miner Z yesterday with the UK account I set up

    Which Ramvik?

I went looking for Ramvik MAME hacks and there's at least 2 different types of Ramvik furniture used for 'em.

    There's this sideboard:

    216321.jpg

And there's the larger coffee table too, that's been used to make a virtual pinball machine here:

    216324.JPG

I dunno about alternatives, but if you were to look at the instructions of them (I've attached PDFs) you may be able to DIY 'em to whatever overall dimensions you like based on your desired overall dimensions and working from there - provided you can get the tempered glass in the size you want (wouldn't use glass from one of their picture frames).

AFAIK, Ikea still do tempered glass in a bunch of different sizes for dressers and whatever.

Hope this is some help with ideas.

I don't think I have used my Ramvik cab outside of Beers nights tbh.
I am running a very old lappy and it runs a nice, stable old Mame with mala doing a simple front end.
I use a wireless Tekken 6 arcade stick for control, via USB, also running from the USB is an array of fans that keep it cool.
At some point I plan to replace the laptop with something with more umph but it just doesn't get enough use to warrant the expense.
It is rigged to display only vertically orientated games at the mo, so perfect for Pacman and Dodonpachi.

When I get a Ramvik I was thinking about trying to come up with a solution where it could double up as a supergun too. If you put a LCD tv in there with both scart and VGA inputs, you could have both the JPAC and a Vogatek supergun running on the screen.

The only thing you wouldn't be able to do is play the arcade boards with the JPAC controls..but you'd still be able to run a Neo Geo stick out of the supergun.

So if you want to play MAME, view the screen horizontally. But if you want to give a vertical PCB a go, just turn the Ramvik table the other way.

I have many other such items in the house!

It's rented from my girlfriend's family. They're absolute hoarders and won't get rid of stuff. When we moved in, the place was full of old timey furniture which they are convinced is worth money so won't let us throw any of it out.

Hence the piano, ye olde drinks cabinet, 8 foot display cases for plates, golden wallpaper, religious objects...it's a scary place at night

I remember my ex had a roswell alien statue on one of the landings in her house.
Many a night that scared that absolute shit out of me on the drunken sleepy stumble to the bathroom

We have something similarly scary at night - a three foot statute of Jesus.

What makes it extra scary is the head broke off and is just sitting on top.

So you might accidentally see it in the dark, freak out, then the head falls off and you pretty much piss your pants then and there.

Saw that My Brothers film today and it features some dodgy arcade anachronisms. Meant to be set in 1987, but there's a few shots of Crazy Taxi and other modern games playing in the background!

There was also a modern pack of Tayto. Unforgivable!

Similar thing happened in 32A. Went to the trouble of hiring out a 60s bus, left in a shot of the girls eating a modern pack of Tayto.

Arcade related: The surprising, stealth rebirth of the American arcade

    (via Ars Technica)

"I guarantee you're going to see at least two or three [arcades] in every city in this country within the next 10 to 15 years," said Chris Laporte, founder of Las Vegas arcade Insert Coin(s), which recently announced an expansion to a second location in downtown Minneapolis. "That's because the geeks have inherited the earth. People who grew up on this stuff have now grown up, but they're not really grown-ups, you know what I mean?"

I don't understand why talking heads in the games and entertainment industry need to put things in such a "manchild-friendly" way. Its not cute or charming or endearing. Some people play sports from a young age, or have a love of reading, or performing, but they don't have that "never really grown up" tone that the games industry does.

I enjoy narrative, Japanese culture (though my attempts at learning the language are haphazard at best), concept art and pixel art, lots of different types of music, including chip tunes. I'm interested in technology and new ideas and how they come together and change each other, and how people think about them. And I like having fun, I do things purely so I will have a good time. A large part of all these interests come from games, this stuff is a large part of who I am.

Can someone explain why I'd settle for not being treated as a grown up? Can any explain why, when you're doing something purely for enjoyment, it is immature?

My eBay app can see into the future. In my saved searches are listings not scheduled to start yet, one of which isn't due to start for ten days. Wtf?

Also PayPal said I'm laundering money today.

    1. N64 hasn't been modified to support RGB.
    2. Wrong/bad cable.
    3. N64 borked.

If it's a PAL N64 then it doesn't support RGB scart so that's your problem. My solution would be to sell it and get a NTSC machine but if you don't want to heed the advice from a man that breaks down and cries every time he looks at his PAL N64 collection then you should get a modified s-video cable from consolegoods on their site or ebay. Only buy the modified cables from this seller. S-video cables need to be modded to work on a PAL N64.

    PAL or NTSC?

I think someone told me S Video was as good as it gets on NTSC N64s, that they're incapable of RGB output. Hope I'm wrong.

Didn't see this was already answered.
