    I should be able to make the 2nd for a bit. And hopefully my shoulder will have healed enough to give the Passat a decent wash. If not, apologies for it.

    Cherrywood would be okay for me...although I may not be driving

    I might go to the other one if I'm not doing anything, and I'll be driving

    OK, I don't often have a rant in here but I think I might do now:

    I spent over 2 hours yesterday showing a potential buyer my car. I answered a lot of questions in depth, he spent a lot of time looking around the car, driving it (used quite a bit of petrol), listening to the engine, opening windows and asking more questions.

    Today he tells me he's not interested because he doesn't want a car that powerful :rolleyes:

    I have absolutely no problem showing people a car but taking that long without being even 50% sure that you'll be buying the car is taking the piss. Proper thing to do is view it, take it for a spin, check documents, all done within maybe half an hour. Then if you are surer ask for a longer meeting down the line.

    No wonder people are slow to spend much time selling a car.

    Is it back to standard or still running the re map you mentiodd before? just wondering, many folks would run a mile with that set up I would think.

    I never actually had a map on it which increased the power and torque, only a "base" map from where to start. The only thing this did was get rid of torque limiters in 1st and 2nd gear and had the turbo pulling further. Once I saw that I was getting the knock and couldn't do much about it without using high octane fuel, I gave up.

    I still have the program on the ECU in order so that I can read and clear any error codes using the laptop. It's got the OEM map on it and I won't be doing anything to it again with regards mapping.

    TL;DR - It's back to standard but the software is still on the ECU to read and clear any error codes that might pop up.

    lads. i am in a wee bit sticky situation here.


    i am about to order 15x8 wheels for my mazda and fella on email told me that i iwll have to have arches pulled for them... which i dont really think should be a problem...

    i know in UK they dont pass cars if wheels are out of arches even a bit. how bad is it here in ireland?
    I dont really know a good place where they would pull arches and do a good job.
    i dont really want to go for 15x7 wheels as i really wanted some dip dish stretch wheels for my mazda.
