Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure why Eagle Eye voted here

If anyone has any preferences for draft night, there's the poll, thanks

We can't do Wednesday night Sept 5th as per the rules, that wasn't set though when I setup the poll

Two draft dates look very popular so far

I'm not pm'ing anyone to chase up votes. If you want to vote, you have the link :)

We'll confirm our draft night by August 25th

Sorry been travelling for the past 3 or so weeks so very limited internet time.

    Frisbee - The Wildcats

I'll be somewhere in Thailand when the draft is going on so regardless of the date I won't be online to draft so I'm not going to vote for a specific date as I'll be auto-drafting with preferences regardless.

I'm easy either way but I have to pick one

    Tuesday 4th 10pm

    See ye then

Looking forward to the draft tonight. Hopefully the few 16 team mocks will help - although quiet a few were on auto-draft for those.

When do we find out our draft position?

Looking forward to it. Up at 5am for the draft so will be getting to bed early! Need to have my wits about me! :D

Had pick sixteen last year in Div 3, picked Brees followed by Roddy White. Didn't get a RB till the end of the 3rd round!

Hopefully get something around the middle of the draft this time around

Well ended up with the 15th pick this year. Means theres an awful long time between picks. Heres my team

    1. Jimmy Graham TE
    2. Jamaal Charles RB
    3. Darren Sproles RB
    4. Tony Romo QB
    5. Anquan Boldin WR
    6. Darrius Heyward-Bey WR
    7. Ben Tate RB
    8. Sidney Rice WR
    9. Kendall Wright WR
    10. Russell Wilson QB
    11. Seattle Seahawks DEF
    12. Brent Celek TE
    13. Jason Hanson K
    14. Bilal Powell RB

Happy enough with my team, pretty weak WRs though. Looking forward to the season though, hopefully make it back to back promotions!

How did the rest of you get on in the draft? Cam going second was a bit of shock, but if he plays like he did last season could be worth it

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,628 ✭✭✭me89

Had the 14th pick, very happy with my WR group but im lacking a bit of depth at RB..

    QB Ben Roethlisberger
    QB Alex Smith
    RB DeMarco Murray
    RB Frank Gore
    RB Danny Woodhead
    WR Julio Jones
    WR Nate Washington
    WR Robert Meachem
    WR Mario Manningham
    WR David Nelson
    TE Aaron Hernandez
    TE Scott Chandler
    DEF JETS
    K Matt Bryant

Hate my team, terrible draft for me. Brees, White and Gates only positives. My running backs are a car crash, watching the Marshawn Lynch situation to see if I can get Turbin in there.

    Round Player Pos
    1 Drew Brees QB
    2 Roddy White WR
    3 Michael Turner RB
    4 Antonio Gates TE
    5 Steve Johnson WR
    6 Donald Brown RB
    7 Isaac Redman RB
    8 Laurent Robinson WR
    9 Mike Williams WR
    10 Jon Baldwin WR
    11 Brian Quick WR
    12 Robert Turbin RB
    13 Dallas Cowboys DST
    14 Steven Hauschka K

  • Registered Users Posts: 127 ✭✭markontap

    Drafted 12th I think!

    QB - Eli Manning
    RB - Beanie Wells
    RB - Trent Richardson
    WR - Jordy Nelson
    WR - Michael Crabtree
    WR - Randall Cobb
    TE - Rob Gronkowski

    K - Josh Scobee
    D - Houston DEF

    Josh Freeman
    Jahvid Best
    Isaiah Pead
    Kenny Britt
    Steve Breaston

Fairly happy. Not much depth though. Hopefully Richardson has a big year; looks good to go from GW1 after injury. Britt to come in for Cobb after his one game suspension.

Redman could have a decent year for the Steelers if the OL can step up a bit.

Was lucky enough to go first and took Rodgers.
Getting him is great, the gaps between picks though is huge!
Still, not complaining. Hoping Mendenhall gives me half a season! If he comes back and looks good...there may be a decent RB like McGahee becoming available....stay tuned guys....

    1. Aaron Rodgers QB (1)
    2. Steven Jackson RB (32)
    3. Steve Smith WR (33)
    4. Willis McGahee RB (64)
    5. Vernon Davis TE (65)
    6. Lance Moore WR (96)
    7. Danny Amendola WR (97)
    8. Rashard Mendenhall RB (128)
    9. Carson Palmer QB (129)
    10. Emmanuel Sanders WR (160)
    11. Steelers D (161)
    12. Brian Hartline WR (192)
    13. Jacquizz Rodgers RB (193)
    14. Nate Kaeding K (224)

  • Registered Users Posts: 981 ✭✭✭Lionbacker

    Had the 8th pick.

    1. Matthew Stafford QB
    2. Reggie Bush RB
    3. Stevan Ridley RB
    4. Eric Decker WR
    5. Desean Jackson WR
    6. Fred Davis TE
    7. Mikel Leshore RB
    8. Doug Baldwin WR
    9. Alshon Jeffery WR
    10. Matt Cassel QB
    11. Rueben Randle WR
    12. Philadelphia Eagles DEF
    13. Ryan Succop K
    14. Mike Tolbert RB

Happy enough with my draft, although very unsure how the depth behind will turn out.

Also, I may have drafted a few players too early, like Decker and Ridley. Just hope they turn out to justify how early I took them.

How do you think Trent Richardson will do with the Browns this year? He has a strong OL blocking for him which is good but the rest of the offense isn't great; they're weak at WR and have a rookie QB in Weeden. I think other teams will be heavy in the box against him given their apparent strength at RB. I'm hopeful for a strong showing in that I drafted him first at 12th I think. Is that a bit of a reach?

    Should be a great year.

Didn't you not draft Gronkowski in the first round.

Anyway from the draft I remember targeting Richardson when it was nearly my pick but you took him before I could so I'm rather confident he will have a great year as he seems to be the Browns only decent talent on offence. He can catch out in the field too so it shouldn't matter too much if teams go heavy in the box. Should put up great numbers.

Anyway I'm in a similar boat myself with Reggie Bush on that Dolphins team.

Im always interested to see what teams the others drafting in the same spot of me ends up. I was 15th in d1 and got this team

    QB: Josh Freeman
RB: DeMarco Murray, Matt Forte, Michael Bush, Felix Jones
WR: Dez Bryant, Kenny Britt, Mike Wallace, Malcom Floyd, Andre Roberts
    TE: Jermaine Gresham, Greg Olsen
    PK: Alex Henery
    D: Green Bay Packers

I was 13th. I went 2 RB's first as the position was kind of thin. Not sure if i regret not going for a stud WR on my second pick though. Although i do like Harvin.

    1. Matt Forte RB
    2. Fred Jackson RB
    3. Percy Harvin WR
    4. Matt Ryan QB
    5. Pierre Garcon WR
    6. Titus Young WR
    7. Jermaine Gresham TE
    8. Michael Bush RB
    9. Brandon LaFell WR
    10. Kendall Hunter RB
    11. Ryan Fitzpatrick
    12. Stephen Hill
    13. Atlanta Falcons D
    14. Greg Zuerlein K

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,369 ✭✭✭UnitedIrishman

Happy enough with my team given the amount of teams in the lague although a bit thin at receivers. Picked at 11 (I think?):

QB - Peyton Manning, Joe Flacco

RB - Chris Johnson, Jonathan Stewart, DeAngelo Williams, David Wilson.

WR - Victor Cruz, Austin Collie, Larry Fitzgerald, Davone Bess.

TE - Kyle Rudolph, Greg Olsen.

    D - Kansas City Chiefs; K - Garrett Hartley

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,569 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

QB - Andrew Luck, Mark Sanchez

RB - Marshawn Lynch, Lesean McCoy, Pierre Thomas, Even Roister

WR - Dez Bryant, A.J. Maclin, Jeremy Green, Jacoby Ford, Jerome Simpson

    TE - Jason Witten

    K - Janikowski

    DEF - Chicago

I have a feeling after I selected my pre-draft rakings I didn't save them. Can't believe how shít this team is, goes to show the perils of not being online to draft.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,137 ✭✭✭Onecoolcookie

In the same boat as Frisbee, missed the draft and pretty disappointed with what autodraft had waiting for me. Open to any trades..... particularly looking to pick up another running back.

    QB: Tom Brady
RB: Doug Martin, Kevin Smith, Felix Jones
WR: Andre Johnson, Miles Austin, Demaryius Thomas, Santana Moss
    TE: Coby Fleener
    K: Dan Bailey
    Def: 49ers and Saints

Cutler to Marshall, all season long!

  • Registered Users Posts: 981 ✭✭✭Lionbacker

Was kind of surpirised when I checked on my fantasy team a while ago to see my waiver wire claim for Ogletree was successful despite me being 8th on the list. Was thinking at least one person ahead of me would have put a claim in for him. Happy I got him though.

Also noticed how unlucky onecoolcookie was in gameweek 1. Second highest score in the league & unfortunately for him, was up against Kilkenny Patriots who put the highest score!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,395 ✭✭✭✭mikemac1

Big week from Arian Foster and my man CJ Spiller, around 50 points between the two of them
    mikemac1 wrote: »

Still lost, a lot of it down to these boyos ^^^^

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,628 ✭✭✭me89

Struggling this week, 32 points behind with only Julio Jones and Matt Bryant left so its looking like a first loss for me, lost Hernandez to injury which didnt help.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

How I'm 2-0 is beyond me. Lost Fred Jackson week 1 and Forte and Garcon week 2. Luckily I picked up Bush but missed out on Spiller. Have number 2 on the waiver wire so I'll be hoping for someone decent to show up soon enough.

Have a big lead of almost 50 points this week on projection. Have a bad feeling though. My rb situation will hurt me.

Right, 0-2.. have to change something!

    On the trade block -

    Peyton Manning
    Joe Flacco
    Jonathan Stewart
    CJ2K
    David Wilson
    Larry Fitzgerald

Need 7 points off Hauschka's strong leg tonight to see me past the UnitedIrishmen.

Stange season so far, loads of injuries and random players popping up with big games, waiver wire far more plentiful than last year, even in a 16 team format.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

Unless Rodgers wracks up 40 odd points tonight I should go 3-0. Strange season indeed given the injuries I've had. Really surprised at possibly having 3 wins going into week 4.

  • Registered Users Posts: 394 ✭✭Blured

Should be moving to 1-2, fractionally ahead but I have the seahawks d and Sidney rice playing tonight and my opponent is finished. Strangely enough he had McFadden and Mike Wallace on his bench!

Sneaked a 99.06 to 98.24 win over Show us your TDs.
    very, very lucky win.
3-1 as opposed to 2-2 is a big difference.
Also won in another league by a point 101-100, so I have used up all my luck for the foreseeable future...

Had a close game like this myself this week, except on the wrong side of the result against Los Horseboxos (a division opponent).
Was winning the matchup by half a point & than Ridley fumbles the ball at the end of the Pats - Broncos game & thus lose my fantasy match by 1.5 points. A rather frustrating loss.

Now at 3-2 after starting 3-0:(

Strangely enough, he's one of the highest scorers in the whole division, just unlucky with the matchups.

I myself have finally managed to snap a 4-game losing streak thanks to strong performances from Stafford, Decker & Ridley to move to 4-4. Hope I can get a few more 100+ scores to get my season back on track.
