DayZ Zombie Mod for Arma 2

Cant seem to join any server today. I get into the lobby and the game stops responding. It seems like its a battle eye issue as it initialises but doesn't even get to compute my GUID etc. Tried on my brothers account too and he just gets "Battle eye initialization failed" Anyone else the same?

One of my mates picked up Arma yesterday for Dayz, should have him on IE1 soon. So it should be even more of an interesting experience with 70 survivers legging about.

Have now completely removed the game and cleared the registry. Reinstalled and the same issue is happening. Tried my cd-key on another computer and it works fine

Went around cherno with two others last night, looking for a tent, no dice. Haven't seen many, since starting only in the supermarket. Does anyone know anywhere else they pop up?

Didn't find any tents but with our gear and the amount of killing around cherno we adopted a strictly shoot on sight policy.
Felt sorry for the guy who opened the door of the church and was met a wall of fire.

I'm pretty friendly most of the time, but when I've got a full toolbelt, steaks m4a1, glock and mp5 with sd ammo, I tend to be less friendly.

I don't really go near elecktro these days because it's too easy to get sniped from the hill on the east.

i have nvg's found them in Electro yesterday of a jackpotdowned survivor by the hospitall Linus i thinnk.

But now im afraid to loose them, its preventing me from mustering the balls to enter a city again..

oh and the bus video up above is funny as fcuk...

NVG?? No need of them, just turn up your brightness and gamma all the way.

NVGs are far far better than turning the brightness and gamma up.

Now it isn't perfect in some places but for cities it's great. Also get a nice field of view. makes me laugh when I see someone using a flashlight or throwing flares in cherno, because to them i'm invisible.

They're supposed to be limiting the gamma/brightness sometime, Sooner the better.

I thought the brightness and gamma controls didnt work in Dayz anymore?

Most times its bright enough with just the moonlight to make your way along..

No only do they work, but they work perfectly fine. You need to enable HDT or HDC in the settings, no idea what it stands for so forgive me if it's notexactly that.

It really makes traveling and city crawls a lot easier to manage, less zombie hassle too.

Just store them in a hidden tent/vehicle before you enter a high pop. area.

That's what I did with my NVg before my hidden bus was either wiped by the server or stolen, I think the server wiped it because there was an off road truck near the bus and that was never sotlen.

Wasn't me that found it, don't want to say the location but the camp we found it at had a bicycle, an as50, and some satchel charges that we happily took too.

Tbf, me and my mates have run into these guys a few times and had gun fights and never have they logged out once a teammate went down and they've had the chance to. I did think it kinda odd when I seen one had been banned for it.

You disconnected in the airfield and reconnected a while after, I let that one go as you got killed when you logged back in but then you did it again so I banned for 7 days.

If people were honest and aplogised I'm much more likely to lift bans rather than deny it.
