Ok figured it out, for anyone in the same boat: use the dayz six launcher to update.

prob missing some files i see a lot of ppl beingkicked for it.

would suggest to reinstall arma + dayz. if it persistant. alot of ppl doing that way and issue is solved.

from http://dayzmod.com/?SixUpdater
search for the dayz boards server by typing in boards and the six updater will get you patch up to play on that server.

it is patching up some something already. i presume files needed for dayZ.

bad serial number given in setup, when i try to launch from launcher... how do i fins boards.ie server? there is no search button in launcher.

A full 16gb reinstall? what a buggy PoS! Can't wait til it goes standalone, no more of this messing.

Bad serial is usually fixed by

Start steam as Admin.

Right click,properties,local files,check integrity. Do this on both.

Then make sure you run both Arma and Arma OA on their own without dayz through Steam library.

Did anyone ere find and take my tractor?........was in grid 8 across and 7 down......let me know as i am worried sick about her!..its the first time i left her alone, she is a good old thing. if u have her take good care of her!..or even if u have a heart give her back, been with her for about a month now and i`m not ashamed to say i shed a tear last night reminiscing about going up and down them rolling hills with her like a couple of care free kids without a worry in the world!.........I LOVE MY TRACTOR.

okay i am on boards.ie server, but i dont have a clue how to play damn game. picked up axe, but how to equip it i have no clue. is there some sort of inventory screen?

Play the Arma tutorial.

Log out right now Electro market, he took the first shot and missed. Put him down and then logged out when dying

just right click it in your inventory and select remove from tool belt, you also have to right click anything in your inventory to use it.

go offline and play the tutorials, seriously. will help a lot to get your head around everything.

No bother.

Honestly your best bet is to go through the main Arma training,or at least the basics.

Then watch a few videos on youtube on inventory as you can loose your precious items due to the bad inventory system.

To answer your main question you press G>Right click hatchet>remove from tool belt.

Do you save here in any way? So that next time I play I can continue with stuff I already got?

Went back to collect an old tent i had placed as i intended moving my ao to the other side of map. What a welcome surprise when i found somebody had left me 2 dmr's, and mp5sd, m9sd, a huge amount of mags for all the guns, gps, 3 alice packs among others. Thank you to whoever you are, it's all gone now i afraid

u need cooked meet or someone to give you a blood transfusion, and to save you just log out and all your gear will be there next time, but log out in a safe place!

You need to bandage yourself or you will bleed out.

G, right click bandage, bandage yourself, wait until you're finished bandaging yourself and the blood icon stops flashing
