Just found that my Homura for the PS2, coming from Italy, has only been shipped today, despite being paid for 2 weeks ago.
Not only that, it's coming Fed Ex, so I'll have some questions to answer when someone has to sign for it in work.... bugger!

Italian ebay seller curse strikes again!

Yeah, that's the last time I buy from that country.
No offence Italy, I love pasta and Lasagne, but I'm finding it hard to find the love for you right now.... :(

When every other ebay auction state 'will ship worldwide, except Italy' then you should have realised something was up as well. Also all my italian friends from college seemed to have a competition with each other to try and redefine 'being late'. Meet you in town for food at 6 usually meant I'll see you in the pub at 10.30.

I think Greece was another location to steer clear of in relation to eBay, or at least it was awhile ago.

I think Greece is a location the entire world is steering clear of considering its financial situation. :pac:

I just hate to generalise about a people or a nation.
I work with people from all over and @ssholes come in every colour and creed!

I have also had good experiences dealing with people from all over too.

What is annoying is that of the two, only two, purchases from eBay sellers in Italy both cases have treated prompt posting of items as some sort of casual suggestion, something they can disregard when it suits.

So, on the strength of that, and with apologies to all other Italians out there who successfully trade on auction sites, I shall not be buying from you again.
Please, place the blame where it belongs, with the pair of knob ends who are unable to conduct business properly.

On a brighter note, Raiden DX was shipped yesterday!
    So, Woohoo!
Shipped from Bulgaria too, a first for me, but apparently the seller has a long history of shipping Shmups with lots of positive feedback.

    Oh I'm all excited now!

Do you have the same love for the Lotus racing series? Keep meaning to pick on of those also and top gear for snes, love the music from that.

Just remember that its not Italians per se that you are roughly tarring with the one brush as untrustworthy and indolent but rather Italian ebay sellers that you have wholy classified as lazy and disreputable.;)

My girlfriend is Italian and she wouldn't buy stuff from Italy online as she knows how the people are about sending stuff and the postal system over there is just so corrupt as well.

I think I did, I said that the blame lies with the two cabbages who were incapable of putting something into a letter box on time.
At least this one didn't abuse me for the audacity of expecting the item mailed within a mere calender month of payment.... and gave abuse because I was buying a silly game, tosser!

Oh, got this yesterday from Teefury, saw the HP Lovecraft tee and had to have it, being a fan of his weird science fiction/horror stories for some time now, it's HP Lovecraft tee No.2 for me as well, the last one a bit of a mash up with District 9 as well, this is a purer effort and glows in the dark, which is nice!

I read The Dark Heart of Italy by Tobias Jones, because I wanted an outsiders perspective on what living in Italy was like, warts and all. I'd read too many books for tourists that seemed too sanitised on the bad bits - the organised crime, corruption, plutocracy, history of fascism and anti-semitism, all of it.

I didn't expect the section on Italian post offices to be more memorable than the mafia.

I'd imagine the experience of an unsuspecting German walking into an Italian post office to be similar to you or me getting on a long haul flight and realising you're seated between Eamonn Dunphy and Cthulhu.

Jaysus, I know Johnny Giles is getting a bit long in the teeth but that's harsh.*

'Long in the teeth', is that even a saying? That coupled with 'Im made it' earlier, has me worried about my grasp of English. Is this the result of working with the gerneral public everyday. Am I becoming bad at English, surely that unpossible.

    Edit- Dammit I meant poor!

I don't know much about Irish sport, but I really hope Johnny Giles is just some football pundit ...

... and we did not just issue Cthulhu an Irish passport.

Thank you for not using a "that's what she said!" joke. No really. I hate that joke like I hate hearing c#nt gets thrown around as an insult.

One problem with Italian ebay sellers is that there's some genuinely great Italian ebay sellers of MVS games but it's hard to seperate the good from the bad now.

The case looks like its in nice condition.

I'd have expected it to have deteriorated due to the inevitable grinding.
