Does this one also have an SD card reader? I doubt it since its not listed, but it does mention it on the box. But I think thats the wrong pic:confused:

I think this is the one argos are selling. At least it is according to the EAN/MPN/UPC/ISBN: 689466281842 tag.

I had one of those MD3 stylie consoles and they're sh1te.
I was told that some variants of them can use a multicart made by the same company, bought the multicart but no dice with the console.
Plus, for €55 you could just buy a proper Megadrive, and what does the thing do that a regular MD can't? Nothing that what.
What does it really offer? Bad build quality, poor AV out picture, incompatibility with some games and banjaxed timing and music on others.
Under the hood it's just a Megadrive on a chip and all the p1ss poor stuff that comes with it.
Argos are also selling the 6 button, SD card enhanced, Gopher under a confusing name and it's for €43 or so.
I am told the screen is pretty good as is the battery life but you are still stuck with the crappy Megadrive on a chip clone and all the aforementioned bull that goes with it.
I would rather take the advice of some wiser heads in these forums and just wait and invest in an Everdrive, then I can play any game I want, properly, on my Nomad.

    After all,
Bitches, they be lovin' da Nomad..... ;)

Rule 52 of retro club: If it's a clone console it's **** quality.

I would have thought the original Everdrive would be fairly cheap now that the Mega Everdrive has been released.

Another nice modded famicom on the way to me. This one has had the AV, controller port and power LED mods done.
Comes with a few games and a UK power supply as well as a NES game adapter.

How much was it, it's lovely, really nice, a treasure in any collection I'd say...

Just don't go tarnishing it with any Hentai games, ok?

And get this for it as well!

Was at Brocon in Limerick and one of the traders had some games they were selling. Mostly common stuff but all very reasonably priced. I picked up Dragon Warrior Monsters on GBC for 2.50 and Cybernator on SNES for 7.

It wasn't cheap, but I was willing to pay the price for such a nice item and he included a good few bits with it.
£90 sterling inc shipping, private sale. He originally wanted around £130 but I knocked it down to £90 as I'd bought stuff from him before.

A fair enough price for it, it's in pristine condition by the looks of it. I'd never seen the controller port mod done...tidies it up nicely.

Some more stuff arrived to day.

For the NES I got Crystalis and Adventure Island

Also got Mario RPG for the SNES, only 30 dollars.

She was up late and missed the postman. I already got given out to last night, the same old 'if I see one more package come through the letterbox you're out'. I'm still trying to find the straw that breaks the camels back. I think a Vectrex would do it.

Well, a move to Limerick might suit you, you never know.... Plus a Vectrex might be worth it too.....

    Few bits today.

Cleaning and Demag Cassette for whatever tape based game systems need it as well as a bit of Sugru in its new style eco packaging(which I like):
    dsc2233q.jpg

And the main event, some plastic cases. But not just any cases, these are very special indeed and highly recommended(seen here with its plastic protective wrap still on, yes the protective cases have protection :)).
    dsc2234i.jpg

    Recommended because they are strong:
    dsc2236.jpg

And make the boxes look really nice, even if the boxes are not very minty.
    dsc2237j.jpg

Pics really don't do these justice as they really make the boxes look very nice indeed.
These are made by a guy in the UK who was really sick of the cheap and fragile protective cases that are all over the place.
Fits perfecty on N64 and SNES boxes.

Well, I've not been collecting that many boxed Nintendo games as the fragile boxes always put me off. But with these cases I've a feeling my boxed collection is about to grow very soon.
I'll stick up another pic in a while of a few more boxed games in cases. Hopefully I can find something to appease the CiderOne :)

Now now, I was just getting that comment in ahead of the Retr0.
I quite liked Perfect Dark, tragically let down by the abomination that is Perfect Dark Zero on the 360.
The XBLA HD remake didn't do it any favours either, unfortunately, they may have improved the visuals but the arrangements of save points smacks of lessons not learned in the intervening years of FPS evolution.

I was actual going to ask if retr0 had hacked your account :)
A nice side effect of the cases is that if you have any badly bent boxes or just if they've lost their shape in general I think the cases will bring them back to the right shape after a while.
    Anyway, couple more pics.

looks quite good and I like storing very heavy things on top of my snes boxes and up until now they been crushed.
    where you get them?

Perfect Dark is a game of two halves really. It's much better than Goldeneye although still suffers from a game engine held together by the programmers optimism and some naff level design moments. Then it all goes X-Files and Elvis the alien appears and it takes a nose dive into turd valley. You can see Rare took some lessons from Half-Life but just like every other FPS at the time it would be years before any FPS caught up with that game.

Best way to play it is the XBLA version but even then I wouldn't recommend it since the level design and enemy AI doesn't stand up. The over the top AI death animation are still quite amusing though.

You need to order in bulk or wholesale if you can to bring the prices down.

Depends on the size. Do you mean DVD type cases?
It fits the N64 and SNES boxes perfectly and you can also out in a Mega Drive case and it fits pretty well. So you can work out what fits inside them from that.
He also sells NES and Game Boy game cases as well.
