Hes a young keeper and last year he was good for Arsenal, granted the year before that he made some mistakes but every keeper makes mistakes no matter what age.

At 22 he's only going to improve and if Arsenal were to drop/sell him it would be a mistake IMO.

Lloris has always been hugely overrated IMO, Lyon should have cashed in when the hype was at it's biggest.

LLoris will win Spurs more points than Chezney will with Arsenal ;) if the LLoris reports are true.

Unconfirmed but Sky Sports reporting that Van Persie may agree a new deal at Arsenal and stay at the club. Has anybody heard this today?

Would be great for the EPL if true

    :pac:

Well I reckon Spurs need him more so then Arsenal, Spurs will have to eventually replace Friedel in the next season or two where as Arsenal have a young guy that if they manage him right has the ability to be as good or better then Lloris.

In short, Spurs need Lloris more then Arsenal.

The arsenal keeper, Sczezney (can't spell it) isn't good enough for Arsenal imo. He could easily be upgraded. I'd have Anders Lindegaard above him even. He was poor in the euros too. Showed poor judgement imo. Lloris would be an ace buy for them, they'd finally solve their keeper problem for a long time. He's French too ;)

Well, as a Man Utd fan, I'd swap Lindegaard for Sczezney in a heartbeat. Whilst I'm happy with Lindegaard as a back-up keeper, Sczezney is a fantastic young talent and Arsenal are very lucky to have him (IMO)

    I wouldn't swap Doni for 10 Sczezney's :pac:

We can match that - 6M and Aqua...and part pay his wages.

Odd. I wonder if his agent has hinted that the interest elsewhere wasn't what they expected...?

1 million plus a minor player in Andy Carroll.

So you're saying he's not as overrated as he used to be?

I agree, Friedel is better than Sczezsny now but Sczezsny might improve, Friedel will definitely get worse.

Betting suspended on Junior Hoilett moving to the Rs.
    So that's (potentially):

    IN:
    Robert Green

    Ryan Nelson
    Fabio (season loan)

    Park Ji-Sung
    Junior Hoilett

    Andrew Johnson

    OUT:
    Paddy Kenny

A bunch of fringe players you never heard of.

Yeah, I thought he went there for less than a million.

Didn't want to attempt to spell that on my phone earlier! :o

Rumour that Bo-Kyung Kim and his agent will be meeting with both QPR and Cardiff while he is with the Korea NT at the Olympics. He's too good for the Championship.

QPR interest seems to have faded. Cardiff and Celtic are both negotiating a fee with Cerezo according to the player himself.

Bit disappointed if he goes to either of them.

Rumours that AC Milan bid €20million for Yarmolenko but Dynamo Kyiv rejected it, anybody here anything, maybe Seaneh can shed some light on it.

I'd love him at Chelsea actually.

Modric allowed to leave for the right price

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/18792861

FOOTBALLTottenham boss Andre Villa-Boas appears to be saying Luka Modric can leave but only for the right offer. He says: "The interest that we have from various different clubs shows the importance of the player and what he's done for Tottenham.
"Ongoing discussions will continue with these clubs until we reach an agreement which is acceptable for each party."

Santos want €12m for their 45% of Ganso. They will probably be bought out by the other investors.

Hamburg and Corinthians have agreed a fee of €5m for Paolo Guerrero and he is heading to Brazil for a medical.

David Gold has said he'd be interested in signing Andy Carroll, Brendan Rodgers has said he isn't sure if he'll suit the passing style and is willing to let him go on loan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,267 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Could be good business by West Ham if they can pull it off, if Carroll hits any form he could keep them up this year.

Might be nothing in it, could just be people linking him with AC Milan due to Sheva's past and how we went from Dynamo Kyiv to AC.

Be a good signing though I reckon.
