Gave it a try, didn't like it and went back to using the old layout. :D

Takes me a while to accept change.

I liked it until i found a problem.

    Can't remember the problem now.

    I prefer beta.

    I quite like it.

I'd like a Cloud re-colouring of this skin. This is better than old boards, but I prefer reading light text on darker backgrounds. Easier on the eye. Gives me less headaches that way :P

where is the thanks button and the quote button gone, I use a touchscreen mobile, I don't like the touch site as I could never get used to it and the same with the mobile site itself.
Really pissed off now. I know its after hours but I was know I'll get a decent response...

    It's no Cloud skin. :(

The reason I never changed to the beta skin is because it didn't have the Cloud skin.

Haven't even looked at this new one yet. I'm a creature of habit.
Better be skins with it before they forced timeline layout change happens

It's ok but I prefer the old one.

Didn't like it, especially the header that follows you down the page. I PGDN as I read, and with the new skin I have to PGDN and then arrow key up to read shit the header is now covering. I like to avoid using the mouse trackpad when possible, keyboard shortcuts are quicker. I know it sounds like a pissy little thing, but I like that I only have to hit one key to get a new screen of text. So long as the regular one is kept I don't mind. It's easy on the eye, not too bright. About as perfect as a skin can get for me.

EDIT: I'm way too lazy to read through the page on Feedback, but will the regular skin still be available?

I don't like it, I'm scrolling along down a thread and the top banner just following my scrolling. Following me like a needy clingy person.
Do we really need that thing to scroll down with us? I'm perfectly capable of scrolling up again if I need to click the home page.

You can turn off the floating header in your control panel. First thing I did (after I turned down the screen brightness!!)

That's good to know. If they toned down how bright it was I'd like that, too.

Go to User CP, Edit Options and at the bottom, in the very last drop down menu, select "Use Forum Default".

Beta for me thanks. Just too darn white. And people don't like the menu following you down the page? It's awesome, I'm way to lazy to press the home key so I can jump to another forum!

Is it possible to have f.lux change based on the brightness of your screen or something, with macros and what not? There's one built in to Windows but it's rubbish.

Yeah, you can set it to automatic or adjust it yourself manually and there are settings for day and night time viewing. It's ok really, if you like a coral-y pinky tone...

Not Boards' fault that you're technologically retarded

I figured out how to quote and 'thank posts' , a few mins ago on thanks to you!,
however there was one button I saw straight away and it wasn't hard to touch it, the report button.
How dare you insinuate that I'm technologically re←→ed.
I know its after hours, but that was going to far!

Yeah, but no features are planned to be published for it. Everything is going to be applied to the new setup. Not too sure what else is planned to be added though.

I like it, Beta was more free flowing then standard and other than clicking on sub forums, the new beta flows pretty well when it comes to menus.

As I said in the feedback thread...

    - Far too much wasted space
    - Buttons are far too big
    - Doesn't resize properly
    - Even with a screen filter on my laptop it's still too damn bright!!
    - It's unnecessary! We already have a mobile/touch version for phones/tablets

It seems Boards is going the way Microsoft is with Windows 8 - this "one size fits all" approach to the UI. It's not working out too well for MS based on the feedback and I can't see it working here.

Since when did being happy with a keyboard and mouse become the computing equivalent of leprosy?? :(
