Hi all,

i have just bought a 3G USB modem (Huawei K3770) from Vodafone to use at home.
It works fine when connected to my PC but i also want to be able to connect to the internet from my Ipad using the same modem. ipad is only the wi-fi version so have no other option!

I have a wireless router (belkin wireless g) and i assumed i would just plug this into the back of the pc and go from there.... few hours of trying everything and still no joy.

im using Windows Vista on the PC.

any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately you made a very wrong assumption as you have found it.

The Belkin and the dongle you bought have absolutely nothing in common they are designed for different systems.

What you needed is something like this:

Maybe the Vodafone shop would consider exchanging the dongle you purchased.

Hey,
thanks for the response, i had a feeling someone would tell me it wasnt going to work.
Not a complete disaster though as it works fine with my pc, it just means the ipad will stay in a drawer for the next 3 months!
