It used to be €30 but they reduced that price to €18.99 earlier this year.

And yeah it's a flat rate, case & monitors included in that.
Not sure about 50" TV's though, don't know of anyone that bought a TV from there so can't help with that.

To check you could run an order through as they don't ship orders until you actually pay for the order and if you don't pay within 2 weeks the order is automatically deleted, so you won't lose out :P

Cheers! If it was 30 I couldn't afford it, but like you said I can just try and order. Feckin computers.. My budget was originally 800 and now I'm spending 1250!

You go over budget by €450 and then say you couldn't have afforded another €11 for delivery??

As you can see in the screenshot that's all the money I have. So I literally couldn't afford it (unless I scrapped some parts)

Looks like TimeToLiveCustoms has a bit of competition. Has anyone seen TastyPCTV, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV6rM8iGYzs&feature=relmfu
Apart from the fact that she is hot, the reviews aren't that bad. Not as detailed as Toms, but they are shorter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,861 ✭✭✭FlyingIrishMan

Sounds too scripted. Although I do like the idea of shorter reviews, Tom's reviews are just way too long for me most the time, 5-10mins is the most I could handle.

    Doesn't matter if it's scripted dude. She's hot! :P

She puts no/very little enthusiasm into her reviews. Although she is hot, I would still watch linus tech tips over her reviews :P

Clever girl, luring me in with those low cut tops. Im subscribed :D. Im certain that if I had breasts I would be running this country by now.

That Tom fella pisses me off. Does he really think Im going to sit and listen to him for 45mins talking about fans. And I keep thinking of Ricky Bobby when he is sitting there with his hands going everywhere.

I love Tom, I love his reviews, I love what he does.

He even say it all the time: I'd you expect a fast 3 min review then you can close this now. Fair play to him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,414 ✭✭✭Fluffy88

His case reviews are great, because he spends 45 mins looking at it and really does let you see for yourself what the case is like and get a feel for it. I'm not sure a fan requires the amount of time looking at it :P

But he talks some amount of ****e during the reviews it's hard to listen to him sometimes.
And I think we all do appreciate reviewers like him, I know I'd love to do his job :D

Ive been subscribed to this guy for a few months now. Everything he does is watercooling, bit high end but interesting all the same. He seems to have spent alot of money in setting up for his youtube channel

I just discovered that speefan has a nifty hard drive analysis tool.

Here are my results for my samsung spinpoint f3 bought back in December 2010.

Just a few questions as I have a few concerns regarding my order from Hardwareversand. Ordered today, paid immediately with Paypal, received conformation email of payment , should it be here by Monday?

Also, what's their policy regarding returns/Doa's?

I highly doubt it will be here by Monday unfortunately :o. Once its dispatched, it will take anywhere between 3-5 days. Once it reaches Ireland, it will be delivered to your door by anpost. HWVS policy regarding RMA's is quite good usually. You can print out a prepaid UPS label and the turn around time is usually less than 2 weeks.

I did a bit more investigating into the values I was getting with that hard drive tester. Although I never once got a HDD related crash error, it looks like my sata controller on my motherboard is fecked up. I was getting some crashes when I was installing a game (mass effect 2) when I used my sata 3 port off the games DVD. When I used the sata 2 ports, no crashes occurred so It kind of would make sense if it is my SB causing the issues (also, when I used another HDD, I was getting a few errors transferring data using the same sata port)

Is there a possibility that this could be caused by the power supply I am using (super flower amazon 550w)? Everything seems to be stable, minus a few random crashes in bad company 2 (buzz noise crash) and even then, the system never powered off unexpectedly. I am going to be getting a new motherboard tomorrow so I guess I can compare the values.

Screen shot of what HDDtune reports:

Thanks, I chose DHL at checkout so that won't make a difference? Many thanks or the information., I'm dying with the excitement.

Every delivery from HWVS to Ireland uses DHL economy (kind of like our standard mail) so it won't speed up the delivery times I'm afraid. When it reaches Ireland, you will be able to use the codes HWVS provided you with on the an post track and trace page. It will take roughly 1 day after its on the anpost system to be delivered. Good luck on the build :D

Thanks again , my current pc has these specs:

    Intel Celeron E1400 @ 2 GHZ
    4GB DDR2 333 mhz
    Nvidia GeForce 7050 (Integrated)
    160 GB HDD

    Going to:
    2500k
    8GB DDR3
    Radeon hd 6870
    500HDD + Samsung 830.

Difference is going to be immense. Does the 830 from Hardwareversand include Batman :Arkham City? .That would be a nice prezzie :D

There is plenty of places on the internet where you can watch good looking women. ;)

When I want to watch reviews I want the reviewer to be relaxed, know what he/she is talking about and not sound like a damn robot.

Honestly, fair play to her. She's into PC's and gaming and wants to be an independent reviewer. She's no worse then the other independent reviewers on YouTube. Yes, she is a bit like a robot but, I think she's putting in a good effort and the production quality is excellent. She will improve over time when she gets more confidence. Her latest PSU video review has already had more views then Toms. Not bad really.
