i was coming home from Dublin one day and drove up beside a 560 similar to that, the lad driving looking over and i gave a thumbs up. His reply was to floor it. He left me at 80 mph and if i was doing 0! Seriously quick, and seriously gorgeous motor.

I found life is too narrow without 2 pillarless German coupes:

Just back from the 500mile drive in the UK to pick it up. Needs quite a bit of fixing (though the seller seemed to think it was fine..), but certainly looks the part. Its a 1987 Mercedes 560SEC btw, 5.6litre V8 S-class coupe.. like the one from "Roadhouse" but without the crippling US emissions garbage.

The grey model for anyone that doesnt know is a 850CSi, a V12 5.6litre coupe.

PS: I really should sell the Audi S8 now..

You should really do something about that garden

    lovely cars btw

Yeah it's the OPC alright, 2.8 V6 Turbo, 325hp 4x4. An OPEL Ireland press car. Will have videos and photos up tonight, that pic doesn't do it any justice!

    As for the sound..

My second fav OPC car - really cool bus,i seen them being tested at the 'ring and the sound is indeed sweet.

    My new daily

2000 AMK engined S3,one of the cleanest examples i've ever come across,no major plans apart from spacers, upgraded TIP and a remap. The S3 badge has since been removed.

R32 steering wheel fitted it myself, much nicer wheel than the S3 one in my opinion.

Nice S3 was looking at it on vagdrivers.net, site has gone awfully quiet since the canadian takeover :(

How much do you pay for the insurance? Is it under €400 a year?

@ Sobanek - I don't think torque is paying that tax himself. ;)

She's 350 a year to insure. It sounds great but she more than makes up for it with her addiction to guzzling petrol!! :)

He's got a Pontiac Trans Am if I remember correctly.
BTW. MCMLXXV, you might know anyone who owns a 1970s Dodge Challenger here? I saw one during the night a couple of months ago in Newbridge.

Owner posts here a bit - don't know about him being out around Newbridge at night though. Could it have been this Charger?

Hmmm... It might have been the Charger..

Although the Challenger seems to look more like the one I saw - it was dark, so I'm not really sure. It was definitely a Dodge though.

The Charger in the pic lives out that way anyhow. ;)
