    HORN Method of Testing
    1. Check the security of the horn and horn control.
    2. Operate the horn control and note that the horn sounds correctly.

    FAILURE ITEMS
    Horn
    1 Control insecure.
    2 Horn insecurely mounted.
    3 Not working correctly.
4 Not working or not fitted.

Oh thanks, so it should pass provided it meets the requirements? :)

I'm amazed at that 458, the front headlights were one of the best features of it in my opinion and he went changed it and a few other things and it's 3 million quid? Best joke I have heard in a long time...

    :pac:

I'm happy with my guitars but I'd take his talent. :)

I've often wondered how much Nissan would want for a brand new 180SX. Hmmm...

A lad in college had one, out of all the Golfs, Bravos and Civics it was the only one that never broke down while we were flying about the place packed with boats, rucksacks, you name it.
It was also my last choice of transport, absolutely horrid yoke to be in, especially the back.

A real "meh" car. They do the job, but why?

Seriously though. I wouldn't worry about it being slow, that's the least of your sisters worries. What worries me about that car is the price, and the short NCT. It does look clean, but seems expensive and the NCT is quite short.

So..................anyone know if a car will pass the N.C.T , if it has a musical horn?

    Novelty yes.
    Musical no.

The Fiesta passed its NCT with a tripple trumpet air horn :) which it doesn't have anymore

She seems to have her heart set on a Polo and the 1.0l seems to be the best bet as the 1.4 doesn't look much faster on paper anyway. Want's something with low tax insurance and reliable with some badge class. I know :D

I'm just wondering would it be that bad for slowness that is?? Yeah that one looks clean. She likes the colour. :o

Just back from work. 6 days of pure slavery. Now I am sitting in a back garden with a bottle of miller in my hand and enjoying the sun, off tomorrow too.
Was planing to go and have a look at one car today, but I have no energy even to get my willy up. It will have to wait I guess.

Anyone able to give me advice on selling/buying a car?

Looking to buy a 07 Focus for about 8k from a garage and get rid of my 02 Focus which is worth about 1500. Should i sell my car privately or trade it in against the new one? Would i make a bigger saving going to the garage and paying cash without the trade in?

99% you will be better off selling your car private and then going with cash to buy new car.
Cash these days is a king. you will be able to knock off better price of car, because when you go to dealer and try to trade in, then dealer will act like he is doing you a faivor, not the other way around.

Realistically how much could i expect to get off a car that a dealer is advertising for €8k?

Put the 7er through the NCT today and was pleasantly surprised. It didn't pass, nor was I expecting it to but the to do list isn't as long as I expected.

    Failed on:

ABS Sensor - which I already have ordered
    Engine Oil leak
    Idler Arm / Slip Test
Reg Plates - didn't bother changing them as I didn't expect it to pass.

Not to bad overall - time for pints now methinks! :)
