His enthusiasm works well for the camera's and highlights etc. but if you watch him for a whole game he just doesn't have the intelligence and positional sense required at that level.

Seriously? Compared to Sandro? Don't get me wrong, I love Sandro, he is a beast and is gonna get even better, but he is raw and inexperienced. Parker is far superior positionally. Best signing in the Premiership of 2011. Kinda ran out of steam in March, not surprising really, he gave his blood for the Spurs shirt this season.

Scott(y) Parker is one of the most over-rated midfielders of his generation. He's a decent solid player.

Here are some form the top of my head who have been better.:

    Yakubu
    Mata
    Jelavic
    Aguero
    Cisse
    Ba
    Crouch
    McClean
    Graham
    Sigurdsson
    Santon
    Cabaye
    Arteta
    Pogrebnyak
    Clichy

Wouldn't agree with the bolded players. Parker is vastly over-rated, but he was still excellent for us up until about February. No where near the best signing, I'd even have Adebayor ahead of him considering how much missed a goal scorer last season.

Jaysus I'd give more credence to a post from you than I would to The Daily Mail! :p

Be a fantastic piece of business if it's done.

As an Arsenal fan I'd happily leave RVP pack his bags off to Real Madrid if they sent Higuain and a cheeky few pound back in our direction.

The guy is world class and should be starting.

We wouldn't get cash. And if cash was involved in the deal it would be going their way and not ours.

I'd love Higuain at Arsenal. He's one of my favourite strikers. He's just so damn good.

    Cisse wasn't signed in 2011.

    Go to bed.

Thats what I was suggesting earlier. If anything Real would look for money for Higuain, hes only 23 at the moment and hes a brillant player and a very good finisher on either leg coupled with pace and skill.

He'd be very good in the EPL if he could be tempted by any of the teams.

Ok well 4 of them weren't signed in 2011. Santon was injured for about 5 months, came in, looked ropey, got dropped. Gael Clichy was signed on massive money and has been in and out of the team.

It kinda seems like you just named 15 footballers and hoped for the best.

    Must try harder.

Swansea are close to sealing a €9m deal for loan star Gylfi Sigurdsson according to Kicker

While that all may be true.... Scott Parker still wasn't the best signing of the season last year.

Kicker also reporting that united have made an offer but less than €17 million they want for Kagawa

Ba then, you seriously need your head checked if you think Scott Parker was the best signing in the Premiership in 2011.

Chelsea to release Bosingwa and Kalou. Now there are two interesting frees...

Ba went on a good goal streak before Christmas, then did ok in a wider role after Christmas. Time will tell. His knees are dodgy. He might jump ship soon.

Parker is the player Spurs have needed for years. The ball winner they've been crying out for, while at the same time having the skill and passing needed to fit into their style of play. He dragged them through so many games, it was almost a one man team at times. Great leader.

Is he a good midfielder? I know he can score goals, but is he just another Tim Cahill/Clint Dempsey type?
