I took my camera to the beach at low tide today. Almost no birds around except for this pied wagtail who hopped up on a rock and posed for the camera:); http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24354102/Pied%20Wagtail.jpg

Looking at me yes it was, and it came closer to have a good look, but got out of there pretty fast when it figured out what was down there.

There is different reasons for buzzards follOwing people
They follow people when they out walkin as in hope that people walkin will frighten a small mammal out of cover as for the buzzard to make a kill
also follow people on land were people hunt as hopin to get free meal ie guts etc from a fresh kill as buzzards are more scavengers than hunters
And they will also follow if they have a best near by to see u as a threat and make sure u are well away from the nest

    Thanks.

I had seen another bird the other day that had a much shorter song, and was much shyer, but from the brief glimpses I got seemed to have a pretty white throat as well - I had thought that one was a Whitethroat (might still be).

I think there might be a Reed/Sedge Warbler along the same stretch.

I'm using a Nikon P510 which I only got last week. Really pleased with my results, (see previous pages). Also got a Stealth chair hide which is great.

Ok someone mentioned the bib on the bottom pic indicates its a Great Tit, and since I saw a GT in that tree earlier in the week I'm inclined to agree.

What do people think about the Coal Tit with bee? Is it definitely a CT, or is it a pale Great Tit like the bottom pic? Took lots of photos of it going in and out of that wall, but none show if it has the bib or not!
