    Make sure its compliant.

Some manufacturers use specific types that cannot be simply topped up with water afaik. (toyota red for example)

    +1

If its a newish car and you have ****ed up getting the system flushed isn't such a big deal.

Thats nice, But how do you do that 50/50 thing with the camera?

A bit of Masking tape on the clocks and buff one side. Take the tape off and take a pic.

Today I put some ****ty coolant from a petrol station into my Audi A4 cos the ''Coolant'' light flashed. Wonder have I done damage. The ''Coolant'' went off though

It needs to be the correct Audi spec coolant....also, I'd be having the system checked to see where the coolant went.

Put on some german font plates without the 0 cutout. Also wanted to clean the exhaust tips as when I got the car they were pitch black. Used some autosol, steel wool and a microfibre. 90% better than it was but will take a bit more elbow grease to get it 100%.

Also used some IronX. Brake dust particles shows all over white cars and alot of it wouldnt come off with claybar as it was probably there for so long.

    Oh, right.

I thought you overlaped the before image with the after image. Never realised it was that simple. :)

The exhaust gaskets & the rocker cover gaskets on my car where both perished so I finally got around to pulling off the headers & scraping away all the old gasket & replacing with brand new ones

    IMG_3121.jpg

The old gasket was really bad.. just fell apart

I think it's generally a good idea to have the same tyre on each side.

    Could be way worse.

Not to mention that having two different tyre types (Radial, Assymetric etc) on the same axle is a fail for the NCT.

It's a while before the NCT is due.

I will match up as soon as i have the money.

Even if tyres look similar(which they don't IMO), it means nothing about how matched they are in terms of grip/performance etc

Spent half my afternoon trying to replace the cable in the window regulator. The door trim is in the hallway an there's a load of screws in the cupholder.

The noise insulation was a pain in the arse to get off and left a lot of silicon on the trim

And it still doesn't work and I have my NCT on Monday!

Is it the drivers side? If not then it won't effect the NCT.

    As promised...

A tough enough job todo but worth it IMO! Nearly died when I thought I burnt through the clearcoat, thankfully it was only a build up of polish....lesson learned concentration is needed when DAing the car!

Car is completely transformed with the bumper done..my neoghbour came out and told me it was looking well! I've a dilema with the bumper lip, the paint is chipped to feck one side and thinking of wrapping it in carbon fibre..let me know what you thinK?

Plate surround taken off to polish easier (need a new plate as well, old one is bent)

    img0795large.jpg

I recommend getting a creeper for the low panels - I already had this..

    img0830large.jpgthis

No not an oil change - this was all the dirt that came off the bumper!

I know that, i'm feeling that, which is way i will match up when i have the money.

I noticed straight away the maxxis is quieter and has way grip than the enduro.

Seriously impressed with the maxxis for the price i paid.

The Runway enduro's are beyond rubbish.

This was how the last set I had ended up after the only worthwhile use I could find for them:P

Lepsons got my wheels today, they rang me within an hour of DPD tracking saying they were delivered, nice start.

Said they don't have an exact match for the BMW silver paint as BMW don't give out their colour codes, but said it will be close enough. I hope it is!

Added 2 CREE rear indicator bulbs as I'm transforming them all to led type. On the way home they started flashing too fast. I know it usually means a bulb is blown but not this time. Back to standard type till I figure out why (no canbus btw).

Have you tried Vinnybyrne for a colour match?

prob not enough resistance. you may need a resistor

It's a 7w bulb so how many ohms would it need?

Edit: found somewhere that sells the load resistors, they just splice on. One to ground and one to the live. :D

    Power = V x I

    R = V/I

    So 7 = 12 x I then, R = 12/I or 12/(7/12) = 20.57ohms

    Era throw a 100ohm in!

Various types listed here (ebay uk). The best part is they just crimp onto the wires so no soldering needed.

My wheels arrived today, again well impressed with their work:
