Last year we had Miriam and Gay Byrne on at the weekends to keep us going, I'm sure they will have something similar again :)

Give me Miriam and Colette Fitzpatrick on the box all day, and I'd be more than happy

I think Tubridy should finish the LLS each week with a song, like Morecambe and Wise used to do.

It would give the band something to do

Is it true the CIA decided to use water boarding as a form of torture because the alternative they had in mind, forcing detainees to watch the LLS, was deemed too cruel and painful?

Terence Trent d'Arby singing the theme to Frankie and Johnny there.

Whatever happened to him, he was good.

"Frankie and Johnny were lovers alright..." Movies just couldnt get away with starting with cheesy songs about the title characters like this anymore.

(As far as I know. Maybe some examination of the facts will point to the contrary)

I presume you are referring to Mr. Angstrom. I think Sean Scully's work inspired him to take up painting :D

It was a bit of pro-life, a bit pro-blow. I believe it really got low when Terry Pritchard (sic) talked about suicide assistance for those with debilitating conditions. It got a bit dirty but the moment passed and the thread being pulled was a bit OTT imho.

It was in Smash Hits in 1987,so it must have been true. :)

Smash Hits was a brilliant magazine. I always used to sneakily read my Sister's Copy :o
