Cheers! One of the previous owners had a sports exhaust on it and cut the plastic to fit it, last owner removed it and put in a standard exhaust! Any tips on a cheap way to make it look less crap or fill in the hole!?
It looks very bare without the rear MG badge on it...
Edit: Tried using AG intensive tar remover on the alloys, not very good. Could really do with a spray top on it rather than that crappy squeeze bottle.

It doesn't work, you may as well be using a pack of doritos on the wheel. AG "intensive" tar remover is quite possibly the worst tar remover I've ever come across. The only thing intensive about it is you'll end up in intensive care with the amount of work needed to make it do anything.

As for me... got around to washing the car too, left it a bit late so didn't get to wax the whole car yet, got the car washed, 1 coat of SRP and bonnet and boot waxed so that's something I guess... Had to use TurtleWax Nanotech paste as I'm out of wet wax and Conzymaher stole my autoglym HD... It's a right fecker to buff off

As it's too dark to take a pic of the car, here's a pic of the rinse 'bucket'.....

The 406 got more interior fitted, new airbag module, centre console, rear seats and side cushions etc. Much nicer place to sit into :) stench is gone from it too

    Alfa got washed :D

What are peoples opinions on the front numberplate, leave it legal or a small one Italian style?

    Currently

Why do you buy so many cars for little money and spend money and lots of time on them?

Some people drink, others play sports....

This is how I get my kicks :pac:

It feels so fulfilling knowing you put new life into a car that was destined for the crusher/parts. The more involved the more personal it gets (hence why I refuse to stop working on my van :))

Technically I got paid to take that interior away :D

@dgt- I like the plates that are on the alfa, atm.

What does your parents say about all these cars around the house?

Were all as bad as each other... My dad has 12 vehicles (8 cars, 2 panel vans, Land Rover FFR and an IH 574) and my mam used to have 4, now down to 2. I'm on 7 cars myself (but were doing a clearout at the moment, make way for more stuff!)

I think what he means LM is rather than all the old cars he gets going to the scrappy, he can combine the good parts to save some of them :)

@dgt - So it a "Built not bought" kinda thing.

    Spot on :)

Cars we like get saved and others that have gone too far get stripped, good bits used in the fleet throw the rest away. Hence why we had 6 Bravos at one stage... Surprisingly a headlight and wheels are all that were changed on that light blue one

Perfect example are the Mercs, the "500SE" (actually a 280SE) is my dads, its being restored using bits from a donor 500SE (a real one :pac:) stuff like interior, lights, wiring, wheels, brakes etc all transferred over :)
@dgt - So it a "Built not bought" kinda thing.

Exactly but without the obvious crap sticker on the back of my cars :pac:

Went back waxing the car today after running into light issues lastnight after it's wash. Got most of the car with a coat of wax, boot and bonnet have 2 coats, just front/rear bumpers need doing but it's started to drizzle a little.. hopefully it clears.

Here's some pics of the bits that weren't covered in droplets

side light is making it look hazy - it's not

dgt, is that a Fiat X1/9 in the pic with the Merc? Having all that space for cars must be class.

Just about got the bumpers done while it started fecking drizzling again. I don't care if it's going to rain, just do it already! So at least the whole car has a full coat of wax on it now :D

Been gathering supplies to do a wheel refurb shortly too, there's one wheel that's in dire need, the rest can wait (and I want to see how it goes on 1 first)

Didn't really do anything to it (apart from drive it!), but I did buy a space saver wheel for it!
