Should be handled like gangs in USA. Fear is the biggest reason no one does anything about them. Cops are afraid of having a riot to deal with.

How could anybody be as ignorant as to race two traps down a public road across both lanes. We had an horrific incident outside of my home town 20 years ago where a a horse been ridden on the wrong side of the road by these people got spooked when it say on oncoming car and jumped in true the windscreen killing an elderly woman who was travelling with her son.

This is hideous. These people see these poor horses as disposable. Why not, you can buy a horse in Smithfield’s or Puckfair for as little as €10.00.

This is not just a once off occurrence, this happens way too often.

Buy a cheap horse at the buy one get one free stand in your local market
Do what you like with the poor animal
Maybe get caught
Get free legal advice
Give two fingers
Buy another few horses

seriously lads can we lobby politicians to do something about these scumbags. I know the EU wont let us do anything that might seem unfair to a minority but the law needs to be changed in order to make it impossible for knackers to do what they please.

But you see, it doesn't have to be that way. All the authorities have to do is enforce the fckn law, and keep enforcing the law, period.

To add to that, unless ALL Traveller organisations in receipt of state funding, unanimously and publicly condemn all such acts, then their funding should be cut.

The laws to deal with this already exist. Fine them, confiscate vehicles and horses. Keep doing this until the offenders simply run out of transport.
