    Can anybody tell me what a small "CD" on the end of reg plate is.

    I seen a 07 5 series with it today, I seen it previously on another car.

    So the reg looked like 07-D-18273CD

    Diplomatic Core, if my memory serves me correctly. Last time I saw those plates in this country they were fitted to a 550i:)!

    Is that an astra mk4... if so, thinking about changing my dials to km/h, just wondering when you take the old one out and new one in, does it show the correct miles on your car, or do you have to get it programed, thanks:), think im gonna get one from an astra mk4 coupe, the white dials and chrome finish

    funnily enough despite all my driving been since the big changeover, I've always thought of things in miles. Speeds, distances, range, fuel consumption... everything.

    Yup MK4.

    If you change the clocks the mileage displayed will be whatever was on the clocks you get. You'd have to get the mileage corrected to show your original mileage.

    I didn't change anything though, those are the original clocks.

    I find I can work in miles as easily as KM's.

    As for certification, I'm not sure how you'd go about this. I think I'd just photograph the dials before and after and keep the receipt for the dials etc to show any potential buyer in the future.

    You could just use this crowd. This will save you a lot of money, plus because it's basically a stick on, you won't have to change the mileage or anything like that.

    Also, some of the Mk2 Astra (not sure where people got Mk4 from since we're currently on the 4th generation Astra?) models were still sold after we changed to kms.

    I thought I had been loosing my marbles but this has been happening to me recently too. Gauge can go up by as much as 10% sometimes. Has been happening at all times of the day so nothing to do with cold fuel or anything like that and even if it was it couldn't affect it that much. Never happened to me in this or any other car before! :eek:
