The most over rated comedian of all time has to be Bill Hicks.

Laziness is the only reason that some Irish people now call themselves non-believers, atheists etc.

If you have studied different faiths/ religions and finally come to the conclusion that there is no God, I have total respect for your decision

As we live in a free country, this is ok with me.

However, when they say, I do not believe in God, they are really saying “I am too lazy to think about the concept of a God, higher consciousness, spirituality etc. I would rather watch X-Factor , X-Box, watch football, walk the dog, clean the car (insert your own)”

Instead of saying “I do not believe in God” they should say “I chose not to believe in God as it doesn’t suit my lifestyle”

I don't believe in God for many reasons and this definitely isn't one of them.

I'm not seeing the connection between belief in a God and an activity. In fact, I'm fairly sure it's possible to do all of the above and believe in God simultaneously.

Laziness is the only reason that some many Irish people now call themselves non-believers, atheists etc. Catholic.

If you have studied differentyour faith/ religion and finally come to the conclusion that there is noa God, and that Catholic dogma truly reflects your beliefs I have total respect for your decision

As we live in a free country, this is ok with me.

However, when they say, I do not believe in God was born a Catholic, they are really saying “I am too lazy to think about the concept of a God, higher consciousness, spirituality etc. I would rather watch X-Factor , X-Box, watch football, walk the dog, clean the car (insert your own)”

Instead of saying “I do not believe in God am Catholic” they should say “I chose not to believe in God as it doesn’t to identify as Catholic because it suits my lifestyle upbringing

FYP to reflect a more notable trend.

I love opportunities to use the word 'Preposterous', and this post is deffo deserving of it.

    pre·pos·ter·ous

       [pri-pos-ter-uhs, -truhs] Show IPA
adjective completely contrary to nature, reason, or common sense; absurd; senseless; utterly foolish: a preposterous tale.

Why is this just for non believers? Surely for instance, a catholic, is also considered lazy if he hasn't researched every other religion first to make sure catholicism is for them.
Hope you have plenty of time, here's a few: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_religions_and_spiritual_traditions

There's countless otheres. How many have you studied?

I don't give a sh1t about anybodys wedding.. friends, family, celebrities... I have no interest in getting married myself and I certainly don't want to hear about anybody else plans! Truth be told I would be perfectly content to never attend a wedding again.
I also don't see why people are expected to give so much money as a wedding gift, it's your choice to marry.. why should I pay for it!

    The Departed is boring.

Most people who claim to believe in god in Ireland don't study different faiths. They just accept the religion into which they were born.

The shawshank redemption is over rated. It is full of cliches. Watch midnight express and then review your opinion of it.

A mate of mine went into his friends house a good few years back and this guys auld fella works in show business but I'm not sure what exactly he does. Anyway he walks into the living room and the father is there with Robert DeNiro and Bono. Completely shell shocked my friend turns to DeNiro and says something along the lines of "holy sh*t you're Robert DeNiro". DeNiro casually turns and says hello, very relaxed altogether. Next thing Bono turns to my mate and asks "Do you know who I am?" That's a first hand story that I think confirms the general opinion that the man is a plank.

You could argue that narcissism is the only reason believers have faith. Not content with a life on this earth, they convince themselves that they are worthy of eternal happiness.

Instead of saying "I believe in God" they should say "I chose to believe in God as it will suit my eternal lifestyle".

I ignored the whole Kony video thing. Maybe one day I'll overcome my laziness and click the vid but until then meh . We spend our lives bombarded daily with new messages appealing for this and that and each one guaranteed to give you a heart attack if you take it seriously but promoted probably by sociopaths who make a profit out of your concern. It all becomes a desensitized blur in the end.
I just thought everyone who fell for that crap was a either a brain dead 16 year old, or a retard.

Further to the above. Bob Geldof is an insufferable asshole who cynically and sociopathically used Kony on the Late Late Show to sell an album. It's the expected thing among insufferable bores long past their sell by date in order to try keep their bank balances ''relevant''

I nearly bought I have always had biggish sized cars and toyotas, usually the avensis. But this time I was only thinking fuel economy.

I ended up with a peaugeot 207 diesel its so good on juice it actually feels like free motoring. It took a while getting use to a smaller car, but now I regard it as one of my better decisions.

I don't have anything against small cars, just can't look at a Yaris for more than 3 seconds.
I applaud you for not getting one :)

Transsexuals are mentally ill men who need psychological counseling and help rather than quack surgeons looking to make a cheap buck by turning them into a surgically altered freak.

Anyone who disagrees is an idiot.

Anyone who disagrees is an idiot.

Anyone so insecure about their gender identity that they feel the need to loudly tell everyone how revulsed they are by people who don't conform to their rigid views of gender is, well...

Anyone who says "Anyone who disagrees is an idiot" is even worse and probably very worried about losing an argument.

    Transgender gene link identified.

People wishing to undergo gender reassignment have to go through a number of rigorous psychological tests to ensure they're mentally stable.
