Nah. I'll bide my time. One day... :)

I'd like to get more of the Zuntata Darius concert DVD box sets though, pricey as they are. I'll wait for a lotto win for Alpha though, let a lone three copies! :P

If you can find my storage unit in Dublin you can have one of the Darius Alpha's ;)

Actually, if I ever fall behind in my storage rent and they do a "Storage Wars" type thing on it they are in for a good day on that one.

/note to self, pay storage rent tomorrow.

Is that some kind of lumpy heatsinky thingy where the large black rectangle is with the komani logo?

Or maybe some kind of sticker?

It seems to be over one or 2 IC's.

Was the first thing that stood out when I saw the pic!

People are really nice, and when they are nice it's, well nice.

    End of line...

My Puzzle Bobble 4 and F3 system arrived this morning.
Nice and quick delivery as I only ordered it yesterday:) Will post up some pictures later tonight or in the morning. It seems to be in decent condition but I've not really had a good look at it yet.

They only had the one F3 system and that was attached to my Puzzle Bobble 4.
It was actually arcademachines.ie ebay account that I got it from. I linked to it in the retro bargains thread a day or so ago.
I paid €60 for the game and board and delivery was €15 for next business day. I was happy enough with that price to be honest with you.

Yeah, I wasn't even looking for one but I thought the price was right so I jumped on it, and a few other bits as well. I thought I'd hit the jackpot when I seen all the pcb's for €10 and €20 but they all turned out to be faulty and in need of repair.

    Edit:
Just had a proper look at the system during lunch. Looks like its already been modded to allow all regions of games to work. Not sure if the eeproms have been re-programmed to force the language to english or not though.

One thing I didn't like was that 2 corners of the F3 itself have broken plastic. Easily fixed with some Sugru but it should have been stated on the auction.

    Woo hoo!
    My Namco Stick has arrived...
    In my brothers workplace...
8 days after it was posted from Germany...
    Via DHL!!!

Must have strapped it to the back of the tortoise, pointed it at Ireland, shouted "off you go!" and slapped it on the ass!
Very slow indeed, I've had things shipped from Hong Kong for free that arrived quicker!

I've had things shipped from the UK that have taken much longer!

My Compaq Portable II arrived today!
The hard disk sounds broken so I'm stuck with floppies...

So, I'd love to hear a few opinions on which to buy next for my Saturn: a modchip, a USB Datalink, an RGB Scart cable (don't ask what I'm using right now, it'd embarrass us both), or an import game to test the Action Replay?

I'd vote an RGB scart cable.

    Nice stuff Dale!

A 5.25 inch floppy with MS-DOS on it: dead center on a venn diagram of my love-hate relationship with computers in the early 1990s.

I have to say it's one pretty damn cool looking shmup! Love the verticalness of it,
and I'm glad there's an anti gravity effect when you get close to the ship.

Otherwise the action would end all to quickly.

See this is an advantage of making unsensically unrealistic games, they're fun!

RGB cable, the saturn looks glorious in RGB, then the modchip.

Here's the Puzzle Bobble 4 and Taito F3 system I got today.
Needs a mega clean and some repair work on a couple of bits of the plastic surround on the system board but all in all not to bad for 60 Euro.

It's also modded to play games from all regions.

Street 2 Alpha for €12 posted so happy with that very much. Just the hassle of having to hook the Snes is stopping from playing it, so X-Men vs Street Fighter is being blasted out on the Sony triniton for the foreseeable future.

    Not exactly retro yet...
Got a Wii today with Mariokart, NSMB Wii, trauma centre 2 and Madworld all for €160 all brand new, not a bad deal all in all.
Now anyone who wants to send some free Wii games my way feel free:pac:

They're busy working Talbot Street. I'll call them in when the cab drivers have finished washing their back seats down at 11pm. :)
