Any tips on who to buy next. This is my team.
    Foster
    Walker Shawcross Taylor Baines
    Lennon Wilshere Parker Downing
    Bent Sturridge
    I have 3k to spend.Any advice welcome

    Presume you're going English?

Try Etherington for Downing, he's much quicker! King is solid in defence also.

Pick both of them up for under 1K. Gabby up front would be good cover for those strikers, get him for under 1K.

Ya I got ethrington and dawson instead of king.Gabby is next on the list.If I sold a few players and made it a premier league team who should I get.

Tearing a 5 man, ultra defensive, ultra counter based team with actual pass and move football with my more technical based teams never gets old.

On another note, anyone like to recommend me a RB in Seria A with decent stats that's not Maicon(can't afford), Lichsteiner(I don't want too many Juve players) or Abate (already have)?

Zaccardo and Konko seem to be my only options. But the latter plays for Lazio, and being a Roma fan. 2 Lazio players is far too many! :D Yes, I'am very fussy before it's said lol.

If you're a Roma fan, why not Cicinho, might help reduce your overall rating so you get paired with crap teams :pac:

For some reason I never considered him due to the fact most silver Seria A players are way too expensive (I wanted Merkel, Biabiany, El Shaarway and Lamela for example) so just assumed he was as well Just checked there again, fairly cheap. Cheers.

Lukaku is just unstoppable. He is very quick, very strong, has a really good shot and is an absolute beast for headers. He is only rated as 78. If you ever cross the ball, he is a must. I find it very handy that he is left footed. People always expect the left striker to come back on the right (but you already have that with Sturridge).

I'd pair Jagielka with Dawson. Both are strong and good in the air, not too slow and won't let strikers muscle past them easily. Jag will link with Baines, and Dawson with Walker.

Given can be picked up for less than 2K and is rated 82 overall, with 87 diving. Definitely recommend him.

Having two small players in CM could cost you. Personally, it may sound mad, but I'd get rid of Parker and get Diaby. You'll make a few coins by swapping them, and Diaby would link with Wilshire, and it's good to have a tall, strong CM to win headers, plus Diaby is pretty mobile (faster than Parker and a much better dribbler, and the same rating defensively).

Adam Johnson is very quick and has a great cross.

This would be the bones of a really solid Premiership side:

    Given
    Walker-- Dawson----Jagielka----Baines
    Lennon--Diaby--Wilshire--Adam Johnson
    Bent
    Lukaku

Fast full backs, strong center backs, fast skillful wingers, one striker that is strong and good in the air, the other that is lightening fast. One creative midfielder, one good all-rounder to hold the fort.

I agree on Given for the price he's the best option until you have enough for Reina or Cech.

Disagree on Parker however, I've had him since the start when I had the likes of Donovan, Bent, Gallas etc.. in my team.
He IMO is one of the two best cheapish players(in the prem) along with Dzeko(Wilshere honorable mention but he's hard to get cheaper than 2k).

I've upgraded all of my players from 81s to 83+ and still use Parker in my 3 man midfield with Toure and Essien.
He has decent passing, pace, shooting, defending.
He's no world beater though and I'll replace him when I can be bothered to find a cheap Silva, but when you're on a budget, himself and Dzeko are well worth the money.

Torres is never going to get an in-form. :(

Not when he gets the 4th in a 4-2 win against Aston Villa anyway. Considering most of the leagues in Europe are involved in TOTW, to suggest that Torres deserves to be one of the best in any given week when he has played this season is a bit of a farce. Papisse Cisse set the bar this week.

    A goal and 2 assists.

Nah, I know what you're saying. I never expected him to get into TOTW. I just love him and really want him to get an in-form. :o

I agree on Given for the price he's the best option until you have enough for Reina or Cech.

Hart is the best keeper in the game, he's got me through so many rounds were the likes of Czech and Reina failed me in the past!!

If you're getting a keeper for an Premier league team then there is no better.

True but if you've got Toure in there beside Parker, he's grand......it addresses the whole strength & height thing.

I just don't like having two midgets like Wilshire & Parker beside each other though (I only play 2 in CM), as I seem to lose a lot of flick-on's, kick outs, etc that lead to dangerous positions. Thats why I suggested Diaby as Toure is fairly expensive, and keeps the link with Wilshire.

I don't know if I'd go for Cech or Reina. I know they are 85 & 84, but as Moon says, Joe Hart (83) is just unreal. He pulls off some ridiculous saves. I guess I just go for Given because of he's Irish, his diving stats are higher than anyone and he is relatively cheap.

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

Not lost many matches in FUT, but those that I have lost, many have them to be teams with Joe Hart. The guy is immense in the game. Cech has been in a few teams, and has caused me the odd problem with some ridiculous saves but I'd favour Hart based on experience against him.

I'll vouch for Diaby as well. He has never let me down when they've been brought in to cover for the likes of M'Vila, Sissokho, MVuvba or Cabaye (I play a 3 man midfield, so he gets a fair bit game time). All round solid midfielder stat wise and dirt cheap too. Mine cost 300 coins.

Started to just trade formations now to make my coins.
At first I used gold contracts, but you'll only make 100-150, then I was using players like Song, Bent.

Then for the last while I was using Silver players(defo better than Gold anyway, can make up to 1000 per player) but now I search for formations under 2200.
    Buy any 4-3-2-1 and 4-3-1-2
4-3-2-1 will sell for 3100 (so i make near 1000 each)
4-3-1-2 will sell for 2200 (so i make around 600-700)

    PS3 Prices

Hell of a lot quicker than scouring through the silver/gold players, sometimes Id have been searching for ages.

Whoops I meant the 85 Reina(he got an upgrade), I had Hart as well for a while, but sold him and went with Given until I got around to getting Reina.
I think too many are stuck up on Hart from playing H2H mode where you'd never get to use the 85 Reina.

I would have been happy enough to keep Given if I didn't have the coins, but I'm starting to build up a bit of a stack now.
Same goes for replacing Parker and Dzeko, I don't actually need to change anyone(I was winning well over 50% even with my 81 rated prem team), but there's no point keeping them with the coins handy.

Am I just crazy or is the gameplay in Ultimate team different than H2H? Ultimate team always feels like there is more space, the players seem faster, nobody seems as defensive. It's just really enjoyable, like a "we attack, you attack" type thing.

I would agree with that. I also find that Ultimate Team has a different feel to H2H. I know that in my games, they are generally high-scoring and I always concede, whereas in H2H I would be a lot solider at the back and wouldn't need to score as much.

One thing though, the general standard of players on Ultimate Team is fairly shocking...

I agree with the defensive + attack thing but i think that the standards of players is fairly good. its just they dont stand out as much compared to **** players.

It's just the by and large every team is full of 80+ paced players(with 70+ in CB and CM)

There are some players who play with the top teams that you'd never use in UT.

Really that's all it is, I've been playing it non-stop lately with some Boards league games inbetween, and the pace felt so much slower, I thought that the games were set to ''slow'' speed, due to the higher number of snails playing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,825 ✭✭✭Mikeyt086

Alot of the difference in gameplay (and there is definitely a difference) between H2H and UT is Chemistry. Players with good Chem are much faster, much stronger and much better. There is also a noticeable swing in Morale, if I'm 3-0 up and cruising, one goal for the opposition and all of a sudden nothing seems to come off. It happens for me aswell, if I'm losing, all of a sudden I've got 5-10 chances.

The reason the goal of the week videos by the likes of KSI and AntoHolland almost always feature goals from Ultimate Team only is because those goals would be impossible if the player was not on 9 Chem.

For the guy building the Prem team, I will echo most of what has been said already. I absolutely love my Prem, and havent spend more than 7k (Komany, Nani and Essien) on anyone. Scott Parker is actually brilliant for an 82, Carrick too, both can be caught for under 1k. Edin Dzeko is an all round tank for under 2k. Valencia will cost you 2k in a good formation for the standard, not in-form version, and even then his pace is unplayable most times.

You can make one signing first, for the time being.. Lavezzi or Cavani? In asking that, truth be told I don't need either whatsoever going by results and the return from Matri, Pazzini and Miccoli all being more than decent. Vargas and Elia do a real job down the left for me too. But still, I want both players :D

Lavezzi seems to me to be more expensive overall and there is currently a Cavani in the market with a 9600 buy out, again from looking around that seems a snip.

If you're using two strikers who are ****e in the air, then I'd get Cavani.

It makes a big difference having someone to aim kickouts and crosses at, much more important to deal with first than having another speedy wide player.

Are you on Xbox or PS3? Because I've seen a load of Cavani's in the last few days up for buy nows of between 6000-7000. Picked one up myself for 4200.

EDIT - sorry just noticed the PSN GT in your sig.
