Ah, it was silly really. Just got a bit of a shock reading it because I thought it was a history blog but it turned out to be this guy trying to mobilise Christians to engage in "spiritual warfare" and wishing harm on atheists and stuff. Just gave me a bit of a shock because I wasn't expecting it.

I really wish everyone could just get along. This guy was so disturbed with anyone having a different opinion to him he tried to suggest that Christopher Hitchens converted on his death-bed. I mean, I don't burst into tears every time I see a street preacher. I care about people's religious affiliation about as much as I care what breakfast cereals they like.

(Don't want to link, it's very obviously just this one guy. I'd feel bad. I left him a comment that was almost longer than his whole article so that should do it. :pac: I was nice, just corrected a few historical inaccuracies!)

My friend is moving back to Hong Kong tomorrow. I'm gonna miss her. She'll be back at Christmas probably but that's a long time away. :(

Sorry to hear that. I haven't had any friends move very far yet so it must be tough. Skype is great though, especially now they have conference calls.

Krudler, that film looks...interesting. I wish the teddy didn't sound exactly like Peter though. It's distracting.

I'm going to Belfast Thursday week for Titanic weekend and there is my first stop! I don't think that my poof boyfriend is looking forward to it tbh! I haven't stopped talking about Titanic in months! This is the best year ever for me! I have been obsessed with titanic since I saw the film aged 7. I have mountains of books, DVDs, documents etc on the ship and it's stories! I just wish that more movies/shows would tell the real stories and not make ones up that are nowhere near as interesting!

    /nerdattack

I usually have to tone down the titanicnerd in me. Some fascinating programming and aspects I haven't looked at in a while coming up. I've not the time to go up to the Museum....yet.:pac:

There is no toning down my nerdiness! Titanic is just a massive thing for me. There was no way that I wasn't going to be in belfast for the centenary! I'd live to go to cobh this weekend for the celebrations there too but I'm not sure if I'll make it what with me having to work on sat.

I love the way so much is coming out this year on Titanic. I'm stocking up on every book I can find ATM!

Boyfriend gone home now :) Was nice having him here all evening :)

I'm hungry again now, don't know how I can be hungry as I've eaten quite a bit this evening.

Not sure what to have, am craving pasta in a smokey bacon sauce, but it's too late for that.

Going to make Spinach and Potato soup tomorrow and maybe some white bread like I made the other day, it went down well with my boyfriend, mother and granny.

Trying to log into www.o2.ie and it's taking a while, the site has been slow for the past couple of days, don't know why.

Downton Abbey. I've only seen the first episode of Titanic, it was okay but nothing on Downton. It's only a four-part series as well.
That ITV Titanic series is soooo bad! There's a great thread on it over on D.S and they're just ripping it to shreads! There's hardly any feeling that they are on a ship, lack of sound effects etc.. and only about 10 extras. :D

Ah now, I wouldn't go that far. It's alright like. You don't need those sound effects, even the actual ship wasn't that loud like. The sounds were often drowned out. The aim of Titanic was always for the passengers to not feel like they were on a ship.

Also, re the "grouchy" people. It was all in context. Not many people were on the titanic for the adventure, they were on it because they had to be! Be it personal travel, business or emigration. I could see why half the characters may be grouchy. This was norm for most of first class and was the end of a life at home for many of third

Why tone it down? Nothing nerdy about it, it's a fascinating subject!

I have a bit of an interest in it too. Will definitely be at the museum eventually. As I said earlier I used to work in the docks in Belfast where the Titanic was built and I believe my grandfather worked for Harland and Wolff (although the Titanic would have been ahead of his time).

Have you ever been up to the docks?

Nope, this will be my third time in Belfast but my first actually being a proper tourist, and more importantly a titanic tourist so I'm really looking forward to it! :-)

Apologies for the multiple posts! Am on my phone!

    Please finish my assignment....please

It's already late at this stage. I'm so f***ing mad at myself, it's the first time I've ever had a late submission. College is going down the pan lately, I'm just sick of it. My exam timetable is terrible, I'll definitely be repeating something. I can't get over how stupid and lazy I've been to get to this stage.

    Sorry /exhausted rant

ha yeah, Seth McFarlane just sounds like himself no matter who he's playing, Brian on Family Guy pretty much is his normal speaking voice sure

I could see for third class to an extent, yeah, but if it was supposed to be a floating hotel, and the conditions were so amazing, as they are portrayed for the first class, you'd imagine one or two of them might smile every once in a while. And it did seem to be an adventure tbh, I might be way out on this but it was a bit after the time of coffin ships - I know not many people would've come home, but in first class it surely wouldn't be unheard of. The Irish solicitor (sorry, only saw the first episode, have very few names!) was going over to deliver papers to the American office if I remember rightly!

Meh, I'm reserving real judgement til I've seen them all.

fasting til sunday (juice & water) into second day and it feels good. In other news my kitchen units fell off the wall at the weekend and this is why you should never ask family to help you do diy.

Started looking up people that I went to secondary school with on facebook.

    I shouldn't have done that. :(

Feck it, I'm going to bed. I'm going to get up a lot earlier than I want to and then I am going to finish the hell out of the assignment that I have for Wednesday.

And maybe block them all so I don't do that again....
