    dlofnep a question - if you compare how you feel now to how you felt 14 weeks ago - do you feel you have improved ?

    No - no improvement, nor do I expect to see improvements yet. This is only my second round on ALA. According to everyone who has succeeded with the Cutler protocol, it takes at least 50 rounds of DMSA with ALA before you notice good improvements.

    So essentially for me - my major milestone will be around this time next year. Or maybe December next year, if I take into account a few off weeks.

    Also - ordered supplements and more DMSA today - Almost €140 in total. Broke now for the next week :(

    15th round complete.

    In other news - Illness benefit cut me off! Of no fault of my own! I had applied to do an online FÁS course a few months back, but never started the course as the brain-fog was too much for me. FÁS advised me that it didn't even require an exemption, but I contacted Social Welfare just to make sure. They said if I was to start the course, to just fill in the form and send it onto them.

    I never started the course, and this week I got a letter from them stating that if I did not contact them they would cut off my payment. I wrote to them on Monday to state that I never started the FÁS course and that I didn't require the exemption.

    Today I get a letter in the door stating my payment had been cut!! I have an e-mail confirmation to state that they received my mail the other day. I'm absolutely furious.

    They've basically cut off my payment, because I did not get an exemption for a course that I never even started! A course that as far as I'm aware never even required an exemption. But even if it did, I didn't do the course. What sort of eejits do they employ there?

    So I've no money for this week at all. Not a penny. What am I supposed to eat? The exemption form?

    My god. I really feel for you. And you really seem to be doing everything in your power to do something about this(and in my opinion, going about it in exactly the right way). I am in a similar boat, as i have leaky gut syndrome, and am intolerant to practically all foods.

    I went to Dr. John Mckenna(he was the one who diagnosed my LGS) and found him to be a compassionate sort of guy, and very conscientious. Just wanted to say chin up and you'll find a way. If there was a way into a situation, there has to be a way out :).

    Heya bud - Took two weeks off because I was dieing with a cold, and then a flu. Back on track now - just took my first dose for this round (round 18).

    You could have gluten intolerance and it is common to have a caffeine allergy with this. also problems with milk protein. I had all the tests done the couldnt find anything. give up wheat and milk it wont harm you

    I've been following your blog, curezone is good for detoxes, watch out for the sugar content in the Cranberry Juice. Alot of salt in the bought soup, may be better off making your own. Maybe ask for recipe in F&D section. Make up your own batch, it'd last you a good 3 days.

    Heya - I've been only drinking 100% pure cranberry juice, no added sugar - and also fresh cranberries.

    Are you making the cranberry juice yourself, or getting it from somewhere? All I've been able to find in the shops for the last few years is "cranberry juice drink", which seems to be coloured sugar water :)

    It's from Holland & Barrett. It's 100% cranberry concentrate - just mix with water. No sugars or sweeteners.

    Does anyone know anywhere in Ireland I can get a bio capability test done, to see what dental materials suit me personally i.e compatible with my immune system and which aren't.
    I read Dr. Huggins book and he says its paramount that this is done, its like "jumping from the fying pan into the fire!"
    From what ive read about dentists who specialise in removing amalgams some do a test and some don't.
    Does Bill Mcollan from Kilkenny carry out test?

    Sorry I haven't updated this in a while - I stopped detox for a few weeks, because I was worried my kidney was under strain. I went to hospital, and everything came back fine - so I resumed chelation this week. Going smooth so far! Not much to report, can't say I expect to have anything to report until after 50 rounds.

    Current dose is 50mg ALA/25mg DMSA every 3 hours. I make sure to drink pure cranberry juice everyday. I also have some adrenal cortex, which is recommended during the protocol.

    Pushing on!

    I don't have aches and pains in my joints. Without intending to be rude, it might be beneficial to read the latter portion of the thread. I have pinpointed my health concerns to mercury toxicity, and am currently undertaking a detox protocol to eliminate it from my brain and other others :)

    Sorry for your arthritis btw - that is a horrid infliction.

    Finish up round 20 tomorrow :D Moved up to 100mg of ALA per dose this round. Seemed to tolerate it ok, felt a bit 'heavy' at times.. But that seems to be the case everytime I move up a dose.

    Not really - don't expect to either until after 50 rounds of ALA (Round 62). From many of the cases I've read (including Áine Ní Cheallaigh's account in her book) - the improvements were only minor until the 50+ round mark with ALA, then the improvements appear to be drastic.

    I do feel better generally when I'm on ALA, and worse when I'm off it. I know that redistribution after a round can be a lot worse if I don't hit the sauna.. I'm assuming sweating helps lower redistribution.

    It's not a question that I consider important at the moment. When I reach round 62 - then I'll have an answer.

    Haha! :) Going good. Finished up round 23 yesterday which was the smoothest round so far. I guess the biggest problem is going from feeling relatively ok on rounds, to feeling the strain from redistribution every week when the round finishes. I try to do everything to alleviate it (sweat like mad in the sauna, lots of vitamin c) - but it always stills hits hard! At least I know it's the mercury flying around that's doing it.

    Just pushing on now, trying to hit the big 62nd round! Have been in contact with quite a few people who've restored their health from this protocol, so I've very confident in it.

    Like the pic says - Onward!! :)

    Just after Xmas so you'll be finished, you won't find it. You could put your new found health in to training for something like the Dublin Marathon.:D

    I'll consider anything when I have my health back! I miss judo so much :( Used to train loads before my health degraded. Redistribution hitting hard today, I can feel it.. Sapping the energy right out of me.. I need to try and figure out better ways to manage this.

    Just a quick update! Started my 25th round today.. My goal is 62 rounds - so getting there bit by bit! Started seeing a girl recently, so it's given a bit more purpose to my life.. Gets me out of the house, and I've had a smile on my face for the first time in a very long time. I bought a new telescope recently (an upgrade from my previous one) - so I have that hobby to keep my mind occupied!

    I hope by this time next year to be better. And if I am, I plan to go national - on tv, and radio to highlight my plight.

    Thank you all for listening to me whining. I really do appreciate it. Lot's of you have sent me nice messages over the years and it's all helped me loads.

    I know I suggested this before and you dismissed it.

    But judging from the vibe of your most recent post you might be more open to it now :)

    I'd recommend you try bikram yoga. It is yoga done in a heated (very hot) room. It is amazing for ridding your body of toxins.

    I have no doubt that it would be great for getting rid of toxins, but that would be down to the high sweat volume, rather than the yoga itself. Although, I'm sure the yoga would be very relaxing! I don't think there is any classes here, and I don't really have the money if there was anyway unfortunately. I have a gym membership here, so I hit the sauna a few times a week with that and sweat equally I'd imagine :)

    I do appreciate the tip however.

    The drummartin calls itself a wellness clinic n specialises in testosterone replacement therapy, this could be the very thing that makes you feel better again, something wasn't right with me for 14 years and I never felt good until I did this, google symptoms of low Testosterone
