Chuck I fear for you and your grasp of reality.:)

What's with all the links to cat's? How long do you spend finding them or, Jesus, even making them?

Just like bacon makes everything better in the food world - lol cats do the same for forum yap.

A quick google image of what you're thinkin often turns up a lol cat with the appropriate message.

There are only two kinds of crisps. Cheese and onion tayto and meanies. Everything else is a deviance which will be first against the wall come the revolution.

My ideal tayto sangidge is tayto, a light layer of mayo, a smather of cream cheese, a couple of sausages fried in olive oil, and a few thinly sliced cherry tomatoes.

I have never heard of a meanie sandwich but I suspect it is an ecumenical matter.

Im partial to the humble crisp sandwich myself every now and then......but when im feeling really fancy i gourmet the **** out of them, fresh white bread(i only eat white bread when its with crisps)thick mature cheddar and branston pickle....or sometimes a crisp dipping sauce(usually chive and onion)

Its an extraordinary sandwich(with either salt and vinegar or cheese and onion, the latter being the classic of course)

Oh yeah you can use cheese spread instead of butter too...this is for the seriously liberal only

I find the popularity of crisp sandwiches mystifying, they are rank.

    Whats not to like? ....seriously

fried onion sandwich with Heinz ketchup.. and if you want to go gourmet, carmalize the onions by frying them for 30 minutes on a low heat with half a t-spoon of sugar. Worcester sauce is a nice addition but only add to the pan with onions, and make sure the bread is toasted, or it will go soggy

    You sir are an abomination.

    Freshest light white bread,
    real soft golden butter,
    cheese and onion crisps.
Hot fresh tea just how you like it.

    La premier cuisine d'Irlande.
    Le nomnomnomnomnomnomnom! :pac:

I'd have to go for the simplistic Tayto on white bread (never brown cos that's what barbarians eat) with about an inch thickness of butter on either slice. It truly is the king of sandwiches

I used to have a bit of a thing for salad cream sandwiches as well but it got out of hand. I developed quite the taste for acidic foods and I moved onto ketchup. Before I knew it I was drinking the vinegar out of the jars of beetroot in the cupboard but I got caught

    I'd do it again though

I'm surprised to see no mention of a salt and vinegar tayto and sliced banana sandwich. Surely I'm not the only one???

We were sitting outside a bar in Spain eating crisps and one of the girls asked the barman for a slice of bread to make a crisp sandwich , he thought she was mad. He'd never seen or heard the likes of it , I didn't think it was only an Irish thing. Anyway he watched her make and eat the sandwich in disbelief.

boiled egg chopped up in a mug.

Always loved this as a kid

When things like ham/cheese/timata sauce are introduced it no longer qualifies as a crisp samwidge.

    GTFO non purists.

 But thats like saying with the addition of Milk & sugar a cup of Tea is no longer a cup of tea!!,surely as long as the main ingredient is 'crips' then it's a 'crip sambitch'?
