I just got a call from the local ragg asking me to reword my advert for an old moped I am selling on behalf of my mother.
The advert went basically" black Honda 80 for sale,runs well 1998 model original black paint work with low milage,all offers considered phone #########".
She informed me they are not able to print it with the word black so prevalent as it may offend and could I choose a different word or omit black.
I pulled the add and will stick it up on adverts but I would never have thought about an add for a moped being racist,this is getting ridiculous.

Or else say, "Honda that would be worth 7 points in snooker for sale"

I think the only solution is that in order to avoid offending the more sensitive (idiotic) little souls amongst us, we need to just stop using words. All of them.

Just re-word as "the bike thats a certain colour that the magazine in which this ad is placed will not allow me to name for fear of offending an ethnic minority"

It Wasn't a mate winding me up as I never told them I was selling it,they would have been devastated if they knew I was selling it as the ole bike gave us many a laugh sneaking it out for a bit of fun.
