I think the key fact there Raven is you used the phrase "dream job".. not a phrase bandied about in my experience. I think that's your mind made up.

The only way it could be the other position is if you are intent on earning big money now with a view to say, buying a property and that's very much a priority, so much so it over-rides job satisfaction.

As for the expense of taking the other job, there is that but rents are fairly low now and there's the life experience of living in Dublin...

Dream job for sure, no point working a job you don't like even if it will allow you to buy the crap you don't need!

A lot of people have a dream job but not a lot can reach or achieve thiers. To be given that opportunity, you'd be mad to not take it.

I personally have 1 or 2 dream jobs in mind, but currently working in the civil service, just knowing that I'm always gonna be job secure is enough to deter me from making the leap to follow a dream.

Best of luck either way bud.

Ciaran I think you'd be mad to pass up work to further your education. You're still way young so go for accountancy and by the time you would have finished your studies you'll be VP of the place. Ok realistically, you won't but you'll be further then you would if you studied for another year or two and then walked into this job.

    Education has nothing on experience.

I just wanted to vent my sadness

Wages will be increased to 65k based on appearances :o

I know my footy, but know little of him besides the hype that has come from your supporters. He did look very good in the FA Youth Cup final (I think it was) last season vs us, the only match I've seen of him I'll give him that.

Fergie's comment about him was pretty damning though however talented.

I think the 65K (if true) is based on PL appearances
If he is going to be as good as alot of utd fans think he is, 64k could be peanuts and not to put a buy back clause in bizarre tbh

Yeah that's what I meant, should have made it clearer. Tis odd alright, he must have had one big bust up with Fergie for that not to happen if he is talented as many say he is.

I know he was a right pain when it came to punctuality in training. His Twitter comments also left a lot to be desired if you are a Man U supporter too.

Cheers for the advice and such lads. I think that there is only one way for me to go, and that is to sail the wide accountant sea

The bank offer is good, but anyone who has met me probably knows that I dislike Dublin. That and the job description is very vague.
The amount of time, effort, CVs and cover letters, exams, miles on foot & by car, interviews.... I have invested too much of my life in accountancy and what at the end of the day is what I want.

    Cheers guys.

Nothing to do with accounting, other than it's about money, video is funny though :p

Best of luck in the new job Raven!
