if it was the original line up they'd market it as that from the start.

Half thinking of getting a ticket for this, even though the band are all hired guns, they are still pretty tight once they show up. Wouldnt mind crossing Guns N Roses off the "bands to see" list.

If you got a show like the RDS in 06 you'd be a happy camper!

I really hope the people on here saying they're not going really do keep their hands in their pockets on Friday and don't feel tempted to spend any money. The last thing I want is some idiot standing beside me screaming "hey, why hasn't he come on yet" and then throwing a beer

In all my years I've never seen beer allowed in the auditorium of The Point, that's why I suggested ribena cartons...

Now there lie's the problem, how many are in the standing section at The Point? 6,000 or so?? All it takes is for Axl to be 10 mins late and 1% (60 people) of that crowd to be locked and start shouting/lobbing things.

Sure MCD will have someting planned, and i'm thinking pretty strict searching going into the venue and no beers allowed to be sold

Why would I need to be locked to start lobbing things?

LOL. MCD and "planning" don't go in the same sentence.

Since it re-opened as the O2 beer has been allowwed everywhere in it. Has it's good and bad sides, on the good: you can get pissed at gigs without missing any, on the bad side: everyone tends to get pissed and it leads to way more fights that in the point and people chucking plastic half-filled cups of beer everywhere.

TBH, if a band are any good, very few people will walk out to the bar. The one exception was a Velvet Revolver gig, where I was stood at the corner of the bar & when the band came out I realised they were only 12' away & I could easily just turn around to get my pint of gin & tonic topped up... Stayed there for the night. It was a great gig - allot to do with the small venue.

I love it... he starts the gig by declaring "WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE..... YOU GONNA DIE" and ends up pleading with the crowd to control themselves and have fun in a controlled and proper fashion.

    He's hardly pleading.

There's a bar inside the auditorium to the right of the stage if you're in the standing section, and lads walking around the seating area selling plastic bottles of Carlsberg, which doesn't help the overall drunkeness.

Would love to see one of these shows and hear what they sound like. Small venues. 3000 people max in most of them.

    2/10 Roseland Ballroom, New York
    2/12 Terminal 5, New York
2/15 The Ritz (Webster Hall), New York
    2/19 House of Blues, Chicago
2/23 The Fillmore, Silver Spring, MD
2/24 House of Blues, Atlantic City, NJ

What I find most annoying is some twat with 4 pints in his paws trying to get to his mates who are standing at the barrier, pushing past everyone and spilling drink over everyone

One gig a year bog warriors. No idea how to behave at a gig. Same idiots every year at Slane and Poxegen.

Yup even though i usually end in the O2 kinda half way up on the right hand side and the amount of people every few minutes people walking in and out with pints and just elbow through you . Now i dont mind if people say "excuse me" to get through but its worse when (this is especially with underage gigs or young people) Where they do a snake pattern where everyone holds onto each other and 9/10 they have massive bags that hit off you

You dont have to get wasted all the time. Nice little red wine buzz does no harm.

Axel should not be let back in the o2, do you blame people for throwing stuff at him, coming on late...people pay god money to see him.
