I love the Marks and spencer chocolate chip cookies, the big ones that come five in a bag from the bakery section.
Anyone got any idea of their points value, I was thinking maybe 5 or 6?

Id say closer to 9 or 10 they're really big & very rich. Some of M&S pre packed biscuits are 4 or 5pp each & would be less than half the size of those cookies.

No problem Kay, I'll post it later when I get home.. Could u post the veggie curry recipe? I've been looking for a nice low pp curry!

I'm really surprised bread is on it, did u ever try the core plan a few years ago?

I tried core once or twice a few yrs ago but i don't think bread used to be on it & its good you don't have to do a full week of it now & you can pick day by day although Im not sure how the body would react.

Down 1.5 at my WI earlier. 4.5 pounds to goal and not having to fork out a tenner a week :D.

My leader was all excited for me. The thing is, she's known me 10 years now and this is the closest to goal I've ever been.

    Well done.:D

just think if you keep up the work you are doing you will get your 7 and MORE next week.

I was actually happier to be in the 11s now, rather than the silver seven... You are doing great.... we are running about the same... you just hit the 11s too didn't ya???

It hit home for me tonight, I was on the Wii Fit (my mam has decided to follow me with the exercise so we did the 2 player joggin on it) when I was finished i was totting up my activity points and i had to run across from 11st 7lbs.... :D

Im getting there...slowly but surely!!! :D:D

Ok, after much emotional thought and struggle, I have rejoined WW again tonight, up 4.5lb since the last time I went at the start of December. Actually delighted because I thought it would be much more. I was really struggling the last 6 months of last year and thought I needed more professional help and contacted my doctor this week who basically fobbed me off and told me to go see the community dietitian, no appointments available til MAY!! So after a long tearful chat with my mum, I have decided to go it alone again and see how I get on. Onwards and downwards :) Can't wait to post my first (since rejoining) result next week. New starting weight, 15 stone 9lb (having started in November 2010 at 18 stone 3lb)!

*by going it alone, I mean without the help of counselling for overeating/binge eating (which my doctor said wouldn't help, although I still differ from that point of view) and without diet pills.

Monife Welcome back :) I honestly believe you can do this, before your wedding break you were doing incredibly well (eh 50lb loss hello!) You know the right things to do, you know what your weakness is ie few drinks and nibbles and you allocate your pp allowance for it. You were doing great on the auld C25K as well :)

As for diet pills - bad bad bad bad idea. So I'm delighted you didn't go that route. Disgraceful that your doctor wasn't more helpful and MAY for an appointment WTF that is unreal! :(

Maybe you should start a blog (you don't have to tell anyone and keep it anon if you want) and this will help you 'talk through' your emotional issues with food that might help things and help you sort out your feelings or you could go the old fashioned writing down in a diary route if you want. I think it's really brave of you to confront the issue head on. What I've seen alot from posting on the N&D forum is that ALOT of ppl have emotional issues when it comes to food and they don't deal with those before they drop all the weight and they end up in this up and down cycle with their weight all the time which is so so unhealthy, the most important thing is to know the 'why' of the emotional feelings and associated binge with food and then try and address that emotion without using food as a crutch or a way to make you feel better.

You can always post here if feeling down or frustrated or feel free to drop me a pm if you want. I'm looking forward to reading your WI results and your tips and tricks along the way - you were a great support to me last year when I had all those bloody STS and gains for no reason so thank you! and best of luck with your week ahead! ;)

4.5 pounds not bad at all! I gained that in the 2 week break over Christmas;) well done! welcome back and I know you will find your grove again you have done amazing so far!

I agree with Kay as well, a blog may help you or even writing down how you feel and turning the page so to speak can be great therapy on working out your feelings and healing inside and out :)

    Good luck this week :)

I can totally understand where you are coming from with the emotional stuff. Its not too bad for me now, but i really noticed when i was constantly gaining weight and couldn't see that it was the fact I was comfort eating to an extent. You have already started and done sooooo well. I mean almost 3 stone!!! Jeepers!!! That is amazing. You should be so proud.

I had that same run in with the doctor.... "I can't sleep and I am tired and weary all the time, I'm feeling really really low". His advice... try get out for a walk every now and again. It will make you tired so you will sleep then you won't feel so depressed....

That's just great isn't it???! no referal no nothing!! It amazes me how some doctors just pawn you off like that.

Im so happy for your weight loss so far. its just brilliant!! ... and so happy that you are getting back on track... give it a few weeks you will be flying and the weight will be coming off in now time!!!

Good luck!!! and I look forward to chatting to ya as we all go on the WW trip!!!

Hello everyone!! Ok so my life is currently a vicious cycle of food!!! I was doing good going it alone for couple of weeks then this week just pure eat what I want when I want and not been to the gun once. With livin over here we do things on the weekends eating out/ drinking out and that's just ruining all the goodness! I can't give that up I can adapt it obviously though (make better choices etc)

Do you guys think I should just bite the bullet and go back to class over here? I'm thinking they might be able to help me pointing the Ozzie drink and menu favorites ahhh I dunno! I need to do something!!

    Thanks in advance

    Evening/Morning All! :)
Can I pick your brains on something? Have to head to UK soon for work for a weekend. What's the safest food options to go for? Breakfasts, well, I'll be going for cereal or porridge or fruit, etc. Lunches, salad.
But evening meal - what's the best option? Say a Chinese restaurant, what should I order/avoid? A 'regular' restaurant, same question applies? Will be skipping desserts and opting for vodka & diet coke instead of my lovely pints of Bud! :(
Been doing good so far and want to keep it going! Any help from ye lot MUCH appreciated! :)

hey all, first wi tonight and im down a pound, happy enough with that as i wasnt as strict as i shpuld have been, treated myself to the new cooking for 2 book and already planned next weeks shopping list with it:D well done to everyone who had a loss and hard luck to everyone else but next week is a new week, dont know if anyone elses leader has the same poster up on the wall but mine has this

The difference a year in WeightWatchers makes
    1/2lb a week= -2stone
    1lb a week = -4 stone
    2lb a week = -6 stone

as someone in the class said tonight it drives home how even a small loss each week can mean a lot over the year

Well done on all the losses guys! After my mini melt down last week after weighing myself and only losing 1lb since december im going to try and get an assessment in the gym tomorrow, just to see if my body fat has reduced which hopefully it has, it feels like it has anyway!! Got to keep the spirits up and realise after losing 6 stone my body wont continue to lose every week/ fortnight! Keep up the great work guys! Xox

    Morning folks!

Picked up a measuring tape this morning on my way into work and I am going to measure myself this evening. I have started to get comments on my weight already so that always a motivator to keep going. I can't see it for myself yet.... so in comes the measuring tape!!!

Might measure myself every 2 weeks or so... rather than after weigh ins...

What way do you girls do it??? Every week?? Every month???

    Hi all!

I used to use this to track before I got my iPhone, and I still use it now to set limits/ mini goals for myself throughout the day. Like when I see that I have down that at say 10.30/11am I can have my yoghurt, I tend to hold off eating it until then. Saves me eating extra snacks essentially. So just in case anyones interested. It's just really a tracker on excel.

Thats really good... Im a wagon for not eating breakfast before i leave the house, so I have mine at 11... I tend to eat lots of small value things so I really fill myself up at breakfast/lunchtime.... Then I usually have a fair few for dinner and evening snacks. My evening snack is usually a boiled egg and one slice of toast... its great for just 5 or 6 points.... :D

Have you noticed much difference yet??? You have lost around the same as me and you are around the same height and that??? Are you noticing your clothes yet???

Hiya! Defo noticed in my clothes. I'm a 14 and some things were getting a bit too snug which was the turning point, I did not want to go up another size. So they're back to fitting comfortably now, no fear of something busting haha. Am trying to think what the measurements were coz their at home, I think it's 2 inches off the waist, and 1 off the thigh at the moment ;)

So if you have breakfast at 11am, then lunch at whatever time, what time do you have your dinner, and then what time is your snack?

I have noticed it in my jeans. I have a pair of "skinny" jeans that I bought in Penneys in December. Like you, size 14... If have started to find them a bit loose around the leg and the behind area!! My main body problem all along has been the fact that I actually have quite slim legs anyway (Yaaaaay) but it was my muffin top and the rest of me that meant if i wore skinny jeans they tended to look too loose on the thigh. My aim is to be wearing at least a size 12 for my friends hens in May....

Its the lovely burgers, all that bun.... ooooh jeepers if I keep this up I am going to roll straight off the wagon and face first into the BBQ chicken burgers that are on in my canteen today! haha! :P

Was naughty this morning and had a bit of white pudding and a hash brown... but no sausage, no egg and only ONE slice of brown bread.... I know its naughty but I am still celebrating my SS... and i earned 5 activity points last night... Look at me justifying!!! hahaha!!! Its cereal for the rest of the week!!!! :D
