Seriously, can people please at least learn the basic rules before posting about the sport?

If it was called a TD on field, its reviewed automatically, if its not ruled a TD then how can it be reviewed?
    kryogen wrote: »
Every play inside 2 minutes warning CAN be reviewed if deemed necessary.

    those posts speak for themselves.

What I'm saying is that when there is no need to they often take a minute to look at clear scores, but we get none of it on non-TD plays inside the 2 minutes.

Some of the non td's have been reviewed inside the two minute warning though mate.

Just because this one wasnt doesnt mean it never happens. I will agree that they are not as frequent of course, normally a non td is clear but sometimes there is enough to warrant a review.

    Because they have to!

Anyways, looks like the wind and rain is going to make this one a low scoring game. Giants by 3 for me.

That's a bit of a stretch. Clearly it was not a TD, Evans lost the ball before getting his second foot down, the officials on the field called it right and the officials in the booth clearly agreed by not requesting a review.

I'm all for bashing the officials when they make a cock-up (see the Jennings "fumble" mistake made in last weeks Giants-Packers game) but in this case they got it spot on.

the play is dead on a TD. if its inside the last 2 minutes and they keep stopping it would make a mockery of it. They view reviews in the last 2 minutes like coaches challenge, they have a replay and need to make a decision pretty quickly. if they are sure it doesnt need it, there is no poin in stopping it. just like the play tonight. it was clear he didnt have posession

Whatever about the Evans TD/Non TD, does anyone just think that the Ravens on 4th and 1 should have ran HB Draw? Might sound mad but with three down linemen and a Ravens timeout it was a complete certainty that they would have picked up the first, given themselves a chance for a last shot to the endzone and likely centered the ensuing FG

Vernon Davis has just come back to his very best this playoff season. Unreal how good he is at his best.

Yes they do, and if you wish to take any post you like and stand it on its own without the context or question leading to it then you will have no trouble trying to paint your way out of your inaccurate claim earlier.

Still doesnt make you any less wrong pal, but hey you might just get the last word eh

Edit: it does highlight your inability to read though worryingly enough

Flagged for standing on the camera stand yet Green Bay never get flagged for the Lambeau leap

    Just saying

Chill buddy, don't worry about it. It wasn't a td and now like me you should just bask in the afterglow of an AFC Championship win and the horizon of a Superbowl.:)

Joe Buck just answered that one. The Lambeau Leap is "grandfathered" from the NFL rules on TD celebrations.

The whole indisputable evidence to overturn it is a complete BS rule. It's about getting the call right for god's sake! So go with what happened, rather than what happened with respect to what was called.

    Your damn right about that!

Its a night for celebration not fighting :)

I have always had a soft spot for the 49ers and P.Willis in particular so Id like to see them reach the sb, but the other part of my heart wants the Giants for a crack at revenge in a Mannings back yard!

That Ravens game completely ruined this game and the SB for me.

Our rushing yards will probably end in single digits.

I think it's fair enough, same as most TV rules worldwide. You can't give something based on replays unless certain.

On another note, Sky have been late cutting back to the games all night and have missed the start of a few plays because they were too busy waffling in the studio. Bloody annoying!
