I like the niners and all, but they better not win, i dont want to see the pats winning 30-7 in the superbowl or something

Huge break for the Giants there. They have to drive this home for a touchdown to make the 49ers pay for that mistake. Any chance we are going to have a mental end to this game like the 49ers/Saints last week.

Disagree. I think the 49ers will give them a hell of a game and I think it would be very close.

These punt returners do stupid things sometimes. If you're not going to catch the ball get away from it. Don't be hovering over it when an oval ball can bounce unpredictably.

Wow, a 1st down. Crazy that it's been so long for Giants.

Btw rules question. If the ref hadn't blown the whistle would that have been a Giants TD or is the ball still dead at the point it's picked up?

Dead at the point it was picked up...can't advance a punt!

What a break for the Giants that was. Just when it looked like they were running out of ideas too.

    Manningham one catch, one TD

Thats what you call making them pay for the mistake. Its unreal the receivers he has, he has been going to Cruz almost all day and Nicks, and now boom! the forgotten man Manningham, I don't know how many times I've seen that happen this season for the Giants.

Right throw 10 players on Davis

Fair play to Eli...after sacks and a lot of pressure.. still keeps his cool.

Dunno now, they did beat the Saints but it took 5 turnovers, 2 fourth quarter comebacks and homefield advantage to do so. On a neutral field (a dome nonetheless) i cannot for the life of me see Alex Smith beating Tom Brady and i struggle to see how they'd keep up. If Alex Smith beats Tom Brady in the Superbowl i'd be concerned with it being 2012 and all that the world is really going to end.

Manning to Manningham. 4th quarter Eli is best Eli.

He went head to head with Brees in a 4th quarter shoot-out and came out on top. Nobody would have predicted that. Patriots D has being leaky albeit starting to improve.
Brady will also have his hands full with the 49ers D as well.

It's a good job there are 21 other players on the field, apart from the QB, who help decide the outcome of the game.

They are really cancelling each other out. Will the turnover be the difference?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,646 ✭✭✭cooker3

I could do without overtime. I'm supposed to head to the jungle between 11-11:30, it's 10:50 where I am.
Come on, someone be a hero.

Well in that case it helps the NE case that Gronk, Welker, Hernandez, the entire Pats Offensive Line, Wilfork, Mayo and Ninkovich are all excellent players then so. The two teams the niners have played live and die by the deep ball. The pats would be more than happy to take multiple short gains and bleed the niners to death.
