Can someone explain to me why they didn't take a time out before the kick? they had 1 left and everything seemed rushed for the kick, the kicker ran up to his mark

If they felt kicker was weak, they actually should have kicked on 3rd down to give them two goes at it, bad snap, block, bad placement etc could happen on any kick.

Ask Garret what icing your own kicker does. Horrible from Cundiff. He jogged out late and then misses it. Also I thought upstairs should have reviewed the Evans drop.

Flacco showed up tonight alright, but it was against the worst pass D in the league. That does need to be taken into account

jeez, the Ravens made a complete mess of this. They were down by 3 and drove to the Patriots 47, 36 and 14 in the 4th and came away with 0 points.

That said, I didn't think they would be able to hang with the Patriots, and the Evans drop in the Endzone was the real killer. Game was over there if he just hung on. The kick was only to get to OT with the new rules. Kickers should not be missing 32 yard field goals unless it is snowing heavily!

3rd and 1 they couldn't kick (could they?), I thought they should have used the time out there

I would have genuinely made that, and mr. pro bowl big contract can't. The person I feel most for is Ed Reed. Makes a big play to keep the Ravens in it, and Evans and Cundiff blows it. Anyone other than me and Baldy think that was a good catch?

Kick on 3rd down? Two goes at it? What are you on about?

Can we tempt Matt Stover out of retirement?

No chance, they had a chance to end the game there and then. You take a shot from the 14 with 30-odd seconds left.

TO or no. Rushed or no, you cannot miss from 32. My guess is that the success rate for that distance must be over 95% these days.

"Since 2000, NFL kickers made 77.3% of field goals in the final two minutes or overtime when no timeout was called before the kick. But when a timeout was called, kickers made 79.7% of these field goals, no matter the distance."

The issue is you have been trolling this thread for 3 hours with anti-Ravens statements.

The rule in the endzone is you have to have both feet on the ground simultaneously before losing the ball or its not complete. He never had his two feet on the ground at the same time while in possession.

I think he means in case of something happening before the kick, i.e. dodgy snap

I was going to suggest Nick Novak or Nate Kaeding but that's just going to lead to the same problem. A choking kicker is utterly worthless in the greater scheme of things

You'd be surprised what pressure can do. The kick was easy..

I'm shouting for the Giants tonight now because I want revenge in Indy.

Oh yeah, repeat of 42. Brady va Eli in the house that Peyton built is a rather delicious prospect.

I've actually gone out and done 30-yarders in the mud of a rugby pitch, hit them poorly and they still go through. No excuse at that range.

Billy Cundiff is in the process of getting a sex change and becoming a police Lieutenant.

I thought it was a TD. Surprised it wasn't reviewed. Very poor from the officals.
It was clearly knocked down before he got his second foot down so there was no need to review it!

Ravens should have called time out before the kick. Cundiff was running on with 7 seconds left and rushed the kick

Pressure can do different things to different players, just ask RoG about the 99 HEC Final

Considering that amount of obvious TDs that the zebras reviewed they should've reviewed that.

Joe had a great game in the stat line, but you also have to remember that Smith should've ran onto one for a TD and Evans dropped a TD. He's turning into a clutch player.
