Got it about a year ago. Used to have E34 before but wasn't big fan of it. Love the E39.

Jasus the size of that pic :p, nice e39 though in my opinion the last nice looking car BMW made.

Can't believe that I never posted a picture in here. Here's my 318 - bought it about 3 years ago with 70k miles on the clock. She's currently approaching 120k and running beautifully. Came with leather interior, cruise control, air con and loads of extras.

It's not as lively as the 318ci coupe I had previously, but I still love driving it. Am starting to think about moving to an M3, but it's still only in the planning stages.

    Super clean, well done.

Nooo. I wouldn't put angel eyes on pre-facelift one. Ruins it in my opinion. I actually was looking for the original Hellas but they don't come cheap.
As per M badge - i was about to take it off, but then discovered that it was fitted in factory. It has one on steering wheel, gear knob, door sills etc. MSport suspension too. (over 5k £ worth of extras on it)

Very nice one, I used to drive one as well. Looks very clean. The last good looking 5 series.
Just that "M" thing on the front grill looks disturbing. Other than that, lovely ;).

Fitted in the dealers more like, the grill badge isn't standard sport kit, original owner had it added on. Looks way better with no badge, but thats just me.

I think I'll take it off so. I really dislike people putting on S badges and M badges etc. Yet I'm still driving with one fittet to the grill. Was convinced it was supposed to be there. Trying to keep the car as original as possible.

What about the gray BMW Badge on the bonnet (same on the boot lid)? Would them have been fitted later as well?

Did you not have a 318is, not a 318ci? That got run into the back of on the N7?

Yup, fitted later. The only M badges from the factory are on the steering wheel and your Style 32 alloys. BMW have no other roundel badge than their blue and white one, on any model. Alpina is pretty much the only other factory roundel badge, but that's a different deal altogether.

I agree non OEM ones look crap. But the proper ones look much better (IMHO). At least yours don't look like they're fogging up..

Is the back tyre new too? Looks like a smaller profile or something to the front, might be near and far away thing though :pac:

Can anyone reccomend a good wax for dark paint?

Folks on here have spoken highly of PoorBoy's Blackhole or something along those lines, sounds like a rentboy :pac: Think that's a polish though.

The Meguires 1,2,3 step stage system I found very decent, I used to use the 2nd and 3rd stage after using a claybar on a black Celica, use to be fantastic after it. I won't post a pic as folks give out about it :pac:

Ideally polish it than use a wax :)

Sorry, I'm a huge fan of BMWs but this one simply doesn't appeal to me.

    Other than that, nice car.
