If you don't have a TV section, try installing PS3 Home. When you turn on the PS3, just go up or down until you see Home and click on it and agree to install it. Then you should have a TV section with Netflix on the home screen if you scroll left.

You also have to make sure you are logged into the Playstation Network . . TV section doesn't appear until you do . .

When you log into PSN Ireland you will get a TV section that has RTE Player and Netflix. . . Assuming your DNS settings have been changed, Netflix will direct you to US content.

If you then create a new USER on your PS3 and under that new user, create a new PSN account with a UK address, you will see BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, Channel 4 On Demand all in the TV section . . again, they will only work if you have set the DNS settings.

Does this not work on apple tv/iPad if you signed up with your FB account? When I try to login on them using my FB email and password I get an "invalid login" message

You should have received an email to your Facebook email address which gives you the non-FB log in details ?

This happened to me. Try telling it that you forgot your password and hopefully it will send you an option to reset it to your email. If not, just ring them. That's what I had to do and they reset my password. Only took a couple of mins and it is a freephone number available on their site.

Thanks, it's all working now. The problem was that the TV services were not installed. I installed them via home (thanks Sparrow) and now i can see the Netflix channel.

I then changed the DNS settings and rebooted the PS3...happily watching Mythbusters now;)

Hmm take a note of what you have before you change it?

Your DNS settings will probably be blank before adding in these settings! Blank them out again to return to previous settings!

    Evening all

Was just about to set up unblock-us on the pc couple of questions first though if anyone could help.

    1. Am I best off to use the automatic set up app available from the unblock-us site or manually set it up ?

    2. If manually set up will the pc always look like its coming from a stateside ip or is there for example is the for lack of a better word an on-off switch ?

    3. If I was away and forgot to pay for the fee would I be able to access standard Internet normally or do I have to reverse all the settings ?

    Think that's all

    Thanks in advance

1 - The automatic setup for Windows worked fine for me, I only needed to manually set up my phone.

2 - You can turn off the app whenever you want to.
Having said that, I tried accessing RTE Player with it on and had no problems!

3 - Dunno, but it seems to be a matter of just uninstalling the app?

i have the WD TV LIVE HUB. It doesnt have the netflix channel anymore. it used to. anyone know the solution ive updated to the latest firmware.
Are you sure it had it before? Did you actually run it? I've just purchased the new WDTV Live after reading that the previous version AND the HUB can't support it physically?

Would you still need to pay for Unblock-us, then?

Hub does have the DRM chip.

Hang on, it says the TV Live can access Netflix too, but it can't -

I`m 8 days into using it and its still working. I have a feeling I wasnt asked for an email for a day or two after I starting using it though.

I got an email from them two days ago to say my free trial was nearly up and giving me a link to sign up, but checked this morning and everything was still working.:)

If you're getting sound but no picture try going out of full screen, pause it, hit full screen and then play. Has helped me one or twice.

Well my free trial with unblock-us is over but I can still use those DNS settings to access Netflix USA. But the kicker is that I no longer have access to BBC Iplayer.

I'm trying to use the DNS settings from playmoTV which is the same thing but free for the moment and it is also letting me access Netflix USA. But although I can get into Iplayer, every time I click on a programme to watch it says that there is an error and it is not available. Same with ITV Player unfortunately.

I really liked having the Iplayer so I might just pay the unblock-us fee.

Just tried here ....... ITV Player is working but BBC iPlayer is not .......
"This content doesn't seem to be working
    try again later"

    BBC working again! 17:50

Gave Playmo.tv a go and its works for me just fine for netflix. Will have to pick between them and US Unblock, when they decide to start charging, but hopefully that won't be a for a little while yet.
