I repeatedly hear about aging rock stars or actors say that they feel like they are teenagers in their head?

I'm 20 (21 in a little over 3 months) but I feel like I'm 30. Every year, in the months leading up to my birthday, I get this feeling of being old.

I'm almost 30 and I still feel like I'm in my teens. Still wondering when I'll develop a sense of maturity.

I'm 25 and I'd say I feel about my age alright.

I really don't like the way old codger-ism has been popularised among young men in our 20s. I see it all the time among my friends. I blame Ryan Tubridy for a lot of it, among a certain class of nerd. It became popular a few years ago for young men to become almost a little faux-Victorian in their manners. It's not something I tend to appreciate.

At 25 years old, fresh and energetic thinking, or adapting new waves of living, and making progress, should be your dominion. The newness of youth should not be something you abdicate for some regressive, anachronistic tradition which you think awful dapper.

    So there, Tubs.

Depends on how much I have had to drink the night before.

Feel like an 80 year old man on the way out some days.

    Generally feel my age though.

    I'm 72.

I'm 31 and feel like I'm 31, so where's the "you feel your age" option?

Mid-20s and all I feel is pressure. I've noticed a few wrinkles too which makes me feel old.

23 and I feel like I'm 33. I noticed I've been slowing down with the partying and, worryingly, I'm ok with that. Bizarrely, I've been thinking about settling down lately, settling into a career and finding someone I want to spend my life with. WTF IS GOING ON HERE? :(

I'm 23 and feel like I'm about 30-odd, with all the responsibilities I've gotten loaded up with lately (paying rent, bills, working loads, etc.)

I also don't party/drink as much as I used to, in fact I'm pretty much teetotal these days (I have to drive a lot, so no way can I drink at all). Last time I had a drink was ages ago, and the last time I was properly out of the head drunk was when Dublin won the All-Ireland back in September...

I think and act a lot older than I am...

How can you know what an older age feels like? E.g. if you're 23 how do you know what 30 feels like?
And people in their 20s - early 20s even - saying they feel old, seriously get a grip.
I know people in their 30s and 40s who go on younger than you wannabe geriatrics.

I feel younger than I am - don't know what age I specifically feel, but definitely feel younger than my age. I'm 33 and only started getting bad hangovers less than two years ago. And only vodka causes them generally.
Feeling old by kids is often in the head I think - and it's as if they kinda want to tbh.

You begin to see that your acting the same way as your older counterparts.... old before your time or wise head on young shoulders

    26 feeling 25.

Ooooooh yea!! i'm still hip & happening with the kids who listen to their Diet Vh1 and play music on their Upod 5G F.

Outdoors I think I act my age but indoors I seem to mentally revert back a fews years in maturity.

I still like doing stupid pranks like having Nutella smeared on toilet paper and leaving it on the toilet seat for some poor sod of a housemate to come across :pac:

I think a mixture of both.

In everyday life, I feel older. I tend to be the person people come to for advice etc and I have a mature approach to things.

However, I pride myself on making the most of being young! I don't want to settle down or stay in at the weekends and the like. While I am young and have no major commitments (like children or a mortgage) I am going to make the most of my freedom.... but this is because I know I can't do it forever and so I'll go for it while I can!

    I'm 24, by the way.

The older you get the more you realise age doesn't matter. There's a twenty year old woman peering back at you out of those rheumy pensioners eyes.

Physically thats a different matter, the older you get the harder you need to work to maintain standards, most have no idea what an easy ride they had until they hit their mid 30s.
