This lad was holding a constant 120km/h for over a half an hour, over passing everything he came across. He seemed to get mad (put his hand out the window) when the odd car passed him, I never did get to see the front of the Datsun?

It looks like a mid 70's Datsun Sunny to me. Nice to see someone putting it to good use.

Where was the pic taken btw?

Judging by the terrain I would guess Australia. You wouldn't see many (any) cars like that in the states.

Overtaking on the right means it can't be the US. Could only be one of a relatively small number of countries.

Cant figure out where the reg is from either.

Weirdly, I thought that's exactly where it was - even though I assumed I would be wrong!

I drove from Cape Town to Buffelsdrift Game Reserve about 5 years ago. :)

I know this isnt particularly suited to this forum but i was out in the Ibiza today as it was a dry day and passing through a village near to home i passed this Laguna at the shop. A swift U turn later and i waited for the lady to come back to her car where i asked her if she would mind a quick photoshoot. She was a bit bemused at first but got a great kick out of it, and was all apologies for the state of the Laguna!:D

I doubt that i ever will, i was chasing that one with a few years, it ticked a few boxes with me. Only 14K miles up, surely one of the best left of its type?

I would have, except that its a Laguna...with all the issues that would follow it..even if it seemed to be the top spec model.

what in the name of God did you go back to take a pic of that Renault, first its not old enough, and second its too bland :p.The woman probably thought you might be a perv;), or wondered why you would want to take a pic of it, and quite frankly I do too. What were you thinking?:) Showing a bad example for a Mod too, shame on you :)

^Most would say neither car is worthy of the No1 reg, I say that's all part of the appeal!!
Wouldn't happen these days with the price of booking it. Plus that Laguna will be bean tins long before the Seat....

There's always a lot of nice old classics parked in the back streets of Blackrock/Seapoint/Dun Laoghaire.

Should start taking more pics myself!!

Today around 4 o'clock on South Mall, Cork. Quality of the picture is identical with the quality of the weather.

Purple Triumph Stag Convertile (saw this car in last year at least four times in Turners Cross area)

    Image232.jpg

Took a picture of this 911 approx. 30 minutes later with the proper camera (petrol station on South Link Road). Not sure if this is a genuine 911 because it just didn't sound right. It had ZV2 plate (I don't know what that means).

btw. in the distance you can see crashed Skoda "Phobia". Some racing driver hit a Ford Ka in quite high speed which pushed another two cars.

Front of that 911 looks like a 993:confused:

It has a 964 front bumper (post 1989), what look like 90's RS style mirrors and cup alloys (a bit later) but if its ZV it must be 82 or earlier. I would suggest its a 70's model with a few 964 bits bolted on to give it a much younger look, something thats pretty common with 911's.

Theres actually one for sale somewhere in Ireland at the moment, that might be it.
