Arrested Development HD makes it all worthwhile :P

But I think there's a pretty solid selection of films to start of. A lot of great films that may not be very high profile but are still well worth a watch. I know there's a good few I want to get around to over the next few months - although their ridiculously poor browsing interface does its best to hide everything worthwhile! Still, it has most of the Tartan back catalogue - Battle Royale, When the Last Sword is Drawn, Twilight Samurai, Oldboy etc... - which is cool.

Oh, and if anyone hasn't seen the glorious Dogtooth yet, make sure you do ;)

They have Teen Witch... it's like Teen Wolf except with a witch:

I believe you just need a US IP to access the service, once it's authenticated you can play it over your normal IP. I have a pretty good VPN so haven't tried it myself.

Being in the north I have Netflix Uk but afaik it's exactly the same as the Irish selection. Watched Tokyo Gore Police the other night, good silly fun :pac:

Just tried that unblock-us thing for netflix.

I set it up on my iPad as I didn't want to mess with my pc setup as I'm using it for stuff that is very network dependent. Works great on the iPad and you can play a movie or show on it and also play stuff from your Irish Netflix account on the pc at the same time if thats your thing.

    Edit:
I ended up using this free software to switch network settings quickly on win7.

Now I just need to find some free us dns option as I don't fancy paying another monthly fee just to use unblock-us dns.

I only found out this week that Portlandia stars Carrie Brownstein, who is one of the members of one of my favourite bands Sleater Kinney (and the excellent Wild Flag, too). Had no idea she moonlighted as the creator of a niche sketch comedy show about Portland.

There are always tonnes of musicians as guest stars too.

The episode where Amiee Mann was their cleaner was brilliant.

And Eddie Vedder was in it last night.

But the Battlestar stuff is really funny, especially the surprise of where it ends up.

No need to convince me, I was sold as soon as I heard CB was involved :pac: Definitely up there with my favourite lesbian riot grrrl musicians / journalists / comedians.

Meeting her ex-bandmate / romantic partner (who is now oddly married to Lance Bangs, aka that weird grey haired guy who shows up on Jackass every so often) Corin Tucker in Tokyo made my 2010. True, I was on my way to her gig, but being the only native English speaker nearby is always a good way to start up conversation with a favourite celebrity.

It's really quite random with play-asia. It's taken me two months to get some stuff (admittedly during Volcanogate '10), barely a week for others.
