    Nope, chances are you won't even notice :) In the analogue days you might have noticed better reception on channels transferred to the new satellite (as I did when 1D's channels were moved to 1E) but on digital you won't see a thing. In the short term some broadcasters might move to the 10.95-11.2 GHz space to use the 1N capacity though.

    Hi all, I'm not an expert on satellites, so bare with me, according to the link below it says that Astra 1N is due to begin broadcast in mid October at 28.2E.

    Presuming this is right, does that mean that 5* and 5 USA will be available in Ireland through other channels?

    It may appear on it at some point but it may not appear straight away.

    You can get this channel on Freeview if you're along the border or in certain parts of the south east.
