If the shelf price was 20c then you should have gone to the Customer Service desk and been refunded Double the Difference.

You would have got them for nothing. :):):)

If they're there in the morning, I will ;)

Picked up a 3 way (Tesco Branded) HDMI switcher in Tesco Douglas for 3.97 today.
Scanned at 24.95, but I told the assistant about the shelf price, she checked and I got it for 3.97.

I know about double the difference and all that but wasn't bothered as I was happy enough to get it that cheap.

    The difference was €20.98.
    Double that is €41.96.

Never heard of Salmonella corner. Love that place but will have 2nd thoughts now.

It's not like it's the official name.

I probably spent the difference driving around all the tescos in Dublin looking for this but no luck - if there is anymore in Douglas I'd happily pay you postage etc if you wanted to help out a fellow boardsie :D

Edit - Actually I wasn't looking for the tesco branded one - think I saw it in a couple of stores but shelve price was still 24.95 - may have to go back and look again ...

what tesco was that in? wonder if it's in all of them? Also wonder how long more we have of these sorts of offers before the government intervenes with the minimum cost per unit of alcohol... hopefully it's deemed as anti competition by the EU!

WTF! Cheaper than water. It is getting out of hand at this stage.

Naas extra but I'd say it's all of them. Yeah that minimum price craic will ruin the bargains alright.

I wouldn't get your knickers in a twist, it's 12 tiny 275ml bottles for €5, that works out at about 6 normal 500ml cans for €5. And at 4% alc, it's not even that great a deal!

275ml isn't that much smaller than 330ml and the difference in 4% and the average Irish lager of 4.3% is negligible so let's you not get your knickers in a twist.

I scanned two Tesco branded HDMI switchers in Douglas and neither was reduced :(

But, I got Xploderz Ammo Refill 500 packs for 26c. There were 15 - 20 packs left up in the toy section. £5.25 on Amazon or £9.99 on iwoot!

Large Toy Story 3 Alien Plush Toys for €6, upstairs near the lift

No golden crisps or mint cripsps but one of the aisles in the grocery has 75% off lots of chocolates, Christmas pud, cakes, and decorations. Please people, buy up the sweets so I don't go back!

+1. I don't know why but I think these taste much better than the standard ones.

Managed to get the 51c oven glove, really good quality, should last years.

snubbleste - did you get this oven glove in any of Dublin Tescos by any chance? I've seen those 51c online but in Jervis they are 4.50..

In Tesco Ballybeg, this knife set but in a more angular block. €12.85. They used to be over €40 ages ago. There was about 4 on the 'bargains' shelf facing the electrical right beside the baby dept. I bought them a few months ago in Carlow and they are brilliant.

Cadburys mint crisp medium sized bars (100g I think) 39c & golden crunch large (230g) bars for 66c in Tesco Ennis tonight.

I got the last 2 mint crips but there were loads of golden crunch left

They had these ben10 toy things( aliens with powder pot) it said on shelf 6cent !! So I got 10 of them should have been .60 cent .. But when I scanned them they charged me .26cent each making total 2.60 so I went to customer service told them they were scanning wromv so they refunded me €4.00 so they actually have me back my own money and paid me a extra €1.40 to buy them

Not sure of the original price of these as I
Was so shocked at the price I forgot to look !!

    This was in tesco ballybeg

You know when they show (in tiny print) the price per kg on the shelf tag?

If they get that wrong, does the double the difference thing apply? The pack price is correct.

Would have to say that there are VERY few bargains in the new Cabra Tesco. Still end up driving to Clearwater. Anyone else notice this???

I doubt if it applies there would imagine they would say that the per kg breakdown is for your information only

Weirdly, though, in the Tesco in Cabra they put five croissants in the four packs for some reason.
