Classless statement. Liverpool has to be the laughing stock of world football at this time. Trying to portray him as some kind of martyr being punished by the cruel, cruel football association. Laughable.

If you thoroughly believed you were not guilty, you would do everything in your power to fight the charge. I'd want to clear my name and prove that my statement we true and I truely don't look the scummy bastard that would racially abuse someone over a game of football.

I find his statement where he says, he was thought 'manners' and 'respect' at his home. This is the man who bites players and has been a piece of ****e in some of his antics across world football. Better head home during you ban there Luis and get a recap.

Looking forward to greeting you at OT. You may possibly, get a boo or two.:)[/QUOTE]

I hope not. He was charged, found guilty and will serve quite a severe ban. Lets all leave it at that. No need for the booing and sh1te that is equally as classless as anything LFC has done.

If he's man enough to apologise 'for causing offence unknowingly', it can be put behind us. Boo's then will be for the ever popular camera-kisser.

Yourself and eagle_eye should get together sometime, ye'd make great friends.

Also, sometime you should go out on the street, find the biggest "black" person you can find and start saying some of the stuff Suarez said to Evra. Thats is, of course, perfectly acceptable, isn't it?

Liverpool FC, and particularly Suarez should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Outrageous behaviour altogether. I've actually gained a lot of respect for Evra during the past week. No one should have to put up with what was said to him, and then not even to get an apology despite one of the biggest associations in world football finding and publishing exactly what was said is just shameful.

So what is the answer to my question?
Get a grip on yourself will ya, you sound like some hysterical fool.
For your own info I have employed all colours and creeds in my business and don't/didn't have a problem with anyone, so be careful about what you say about me...

Believe it or not most normal people do think it's an issue.

Most 'normal' people have better things to be doing than worrying about two overpaid children calling each other names on a football field.

In fairness, Kenny should have had more sense than to commit so voraciously to the cause.

    That pic is a disgrace.

A final question, surely if mr. evra believes he was racially abused by mr. suarez he should now make a formal complaint to the police using the evidence the FA seem to have to back up his claims.

Maybe he is a compassionate soul and does not want Suarez to end up with a criminal record?

In fairness to Evra he did say whilst he was racially abused he does not believe Suarez to be a racist.

I still believe Suarez was taken out of context, but much prefer LFC accepting it and getting him back for big games instead of fighting against a kangaroo court.

    Could you elaborate on this?
It is hard to take someone out of context when they say "I don't talk to blacks"

Reading the report it's pretty clear the proof is one person's word v the other, and Evra's is taken as fact.

Why do you feel Evra HAS to make a formal complaint to the police ? Is he not allowed to choose how he looks for Suarez to be held accountable for insulting him ? Perhaps he feels that his punishment with the FA is enough. Is that ok with you ?

Till the end, some people are still making pathetic attempts trying to put the focus on Evra and off Suarez. Evra doesnt appear to of done anything wrong in this whole thing, Liverpool have been just trying to paint it that way to excuse the STUPID actions of their own player.

That statement by Liverpool is absolutely ludicrous.

Anyone can make a formal complaint to the police about the incident as far as I'm aware.

You're kidding yourself if you think plenty of Utd fans haven't already reported the incident to the police.

The reason no action will be taken is cause there's no evidence.

As far as i am aware, and i may be wrong, once an incident is reported the police have a number of days to determine whether the incident warrants an investigation. After that they tell the reporter if they have/haven't decided to pursue the matter. Regardless of whether they do/don't an official record would have being lodged and documents to prove so.

So basically, i think if it had being reported we would have seen every low level tabloid trash paper reporting it had.

    Source?

Finnan was investigated for racism by Utd fans who reported the incident from watching telly.

Terry, again reported by TV viewers.

    Source?

Some fans dont need sources, just strong belief in their own ignorance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,349 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

But wouldn't the police come out with a statement if that was the case?

they cant find out if there's no evidence without first opening a case to see if there's any evidence

    Yes. There. Was.

Suarez' lawyer himself admitted that it wasn't simply one man's word against another.

You have no idea if any United fan reported it to police or whether any United fan was even entitled to report in to the police seeing as they didn't actually clearly witness any of the racial abuse.

You have no idea whether or not the police have been mulling over the FA document and are considering a charge.

You are embarrassing yourself yet again with more ridiculous assumptions that tie in with your agenda.

Give it up Alan, it's game over.

Apologies i was under the impression that you were talking about the incident under discussion in this thread, the Suarez incident...

In relation to the Finnan claim, could you throw up the link that states that they were United fans, i actually never saw their team mentioned.

Whats the source on that? Not saying I don't believe, cause I remember reading it. Just can't remember where and I'd like to quote the report on another arguement I'm having :P
