Not puttin the mockers on em' not at all.. just cant believe that.....
he's been at the club since 06 like!!

I was thinking similar, but didn't want to tempt fate. Even his last injury, the ribs I think, was down to a knock, as oppose to a recurrence of one of his previous injuries

Swansea City have beaten Everton and Liverpool in the race to sign highly-rated Cliftonville striker Rory Donnelly.

The rumours are he wants 100k to move South but he'll accept a bit less to stay in the Northwest

What's the point though? There's a decent squad there, what's lacking is real quality. Cahill isn't that, and he certainly wouldn't be worth 70/80k/wk for what he would add

Great to see him getting back in with the lads,

I still think the point is Cahill will be a Chelsea player next week.

There's an agent earning his 10% here

Heard they were giving him a 2 game ban for not keeping his arm straight!

Have to wonder where this Cahill stuff is coming from. If it's just this 'he wants to stay in the north' stuff, I don't know why they didn't go with a Man United angle; with their injuries and Ferdinand's age, they would be a far more likely destination.

Not that I'd mind though. He's a pretty good footballer. Great to have him in lieu of Agger/Skrtel when injured.

Have to come in and say that I think Carrol & Downing just dont impress me at all. Carrol looks worse than myself after 10 pints and Downing, for his age should be 100 times better.. At the end of day, Carrol is just not good enough for Liverpool

If that's true, poor Shearer has a whole career of fines coming his way lol

Doubt Cahill will be coming, and wouldn't be that pushed about it either really, no more than I would be about Bent.

On another note, I must admit that a tiny part of me wants to see Glen Johnson rested for a couple of games so that Kelly can play as he must be really frustrated now. Hopefully he isn't the type to get too annoyed though, and will realise that he is still only young and will get chances. I assume he'll play against Oldham though. Is Aurelio fit or is that a silly question? If he is I expect a line up something like this for the Oldham game.

    Reina
    Kelly---Carra---Coates---Aurelio
    Kuyt---Spearing---Adam---Maxi
    Suarez
    Carroll

Depends on the City game on Tuesday though I suppose, but given the probable upcoming suspension (although when is anyone's guess) I expect to see Suarez start every game where possible. I reckon Gerrard may be started against City on Tuesday, but I doubt he'll play in the FA Cup match either way, except from the bench perhaps.

Good win today for ye, but big Andy didn't do a tap all game to be honest, heavy touch and inaccuracy is all can be said.

Bellamy played well but he wont play every game, to inconsistent, and the rest did very little TBH...

Stevie didn't do to bad but he is a crock and will most likely get injured soon enough, i cant still see Liverpool placing inside the the top four, don't think they are a threat to Arsenal and Chelsea in the fight for fourth.

Carroll is like a drunk battering ram, clumsy and lacks quality, cant see him ever achieving anything at Liverpool, I reckon he misses being at the Toon.

Danny Wilson on loan? Not the best move for Danny, and a big risk for Bolton, but I'd rather that than have him languishing in footballing purgatory like he is now

This also sums up your posting style perfectly. WUMs like the Muppet and boggles had a finese to their posts that made them very successful during their respective careers in the Liverpool thread but you just don't seem to have that knack for it. Can't really see you ever achieving much in this thread but goodluck with it anyway.

    Who are they?

I am only saying what i'm seeing, it was a good win for ye tonight but big Andy did't do an iota for ye.

All i am saying is i can see you struggle with these guys in your squad.

Carroll, Downing and Henderson etc.. are sub-par players and Gerrard is past his sell by date...way to injury prone who is the past, don't really know what you mean buy "successful career" could you explain that?

I am entitled to my opinion as is everyone else, its nothing short of pathetic to call for my head just because you disagree...but to be honest i am not surprised by the likes of you, Mr Alan, i have read some of your posts in the Racism thread and to be honest your post are nothing short of laughable.

It must be misery enough for him to know that his side are only level on points with a poor Liverpool squad at the halfway stage of the season, albeit with a game in hand.

There is a difference between having an opinion on something and just outright slating a team because you dont like them... your post is the latter

I'm glad you don't like my posts. I worry when people like you do.

You are correct in saying that everyone is entitled to their opinion, however in saying that they must abide by the rules set out in the charter they've agreed to.

    Two of them there rules are;

    1) acting the dick
    2) trolling

You fall into both those categories & seemingly don't have the intelligence to be able to cover that up in the slightest. As a result, thankfully you won't be long for these parts in my opinion.

I'll likely pick up an infraction for explaining the workings of this place to you. But I'm ok with that.

So you call me a cretin and then tell me I'm trolling and acting the dick. What an upstanding poster of this forum you are.

I gave my opinion on Andy Carroll, Gerrard and Liverpool's prospects this season, I don't see the crime. If that's trolling or 'acting the dick' then maybe you should consider making the trip over to RAWK or other Liverpool only forums, you'd fit in well there me thinks. You strike me as one with red tinted glasses glued to his eyes, but don't worry, there are sites that cater for you.:)

The issue is a quick search of your posts in this threads shows that the main thing you discuss here is Andy Carroll, his abilities (or lack thereof), his fondness for drink, his price tag etc, or Suarez being a dispicable human being (a biting racist), how Adam is a poor player, how Gerrard is finished etc etc ie. when you give your opinions on anything to do with Liverpool, it's always hugely negative.

Constantly spouting that in here is IMO you 'fishing' for bites. Posting solely to get a reaction from Liverpool fans in this thread. It's tedious & it's against the charter (as I've pointed out already).

There is a difference between rational & reasonable criticisms & being a troll. You're the later.

You offer nothing to this thread. Opposition fans are welcome in the thread as long as the offer a meaningful contribution, you're wasting your own time in here with your posts.

Id love to have a look at your posts relating to Man U issues down the years and weigh up the positive ones against the negative ones. I'm sure you've been a very balanced poster:rolleyes: I have no love for Liverpool. It's natural that I'm going to pick out and discuss the negative points about your football club, just like it's normal for you to do so with Man U, Chelsea and other clubs you have a disliking to. I do not post with the intention of 'fishing', I sometimes post to create some light banter and most times I post I do so to air my genuine opinions.

Just because you have over 25,000 posts, it doesn't give you licence to patrol this thread however you see fit. Now get off that high horse, pipe down and back in your red tinted box.

Without mentioning any names, there's a group of regular posters on this thread who seem to think they own it amd can abuse others as they please. I used to post on here quite a lot but was turned off it for this reason.

It seems some people think they can bully people out of a thread for stating an opinion with which they disagree with. It's not on. There's mods here who decide what's acceptable and what's not. If you don't want to interact with a poster there's an ignore function you can engage if aren't capable of restraining yourself from responding or "rising to the bait" so to speak. That's all I'll say about it.

Back to football matters. Loads to be positive about tonight. Gerrard back with a bang. That alone will give the squad a psychological boost and give them belief in their coming games. Skrtel's clearance was one of the moments of the season for me. HTF did he manage to keep it out! Downing should be dropped in my opinion. Kuyt on the right is a better option.

It's unfortunate you feel that way but some posters drag the thread down with continuous digs at the club basically becase they hate us i think it's only fair for posters like that to be called out.

Anyway, i agree with your points on the match. The right side issue is a nightmare as it hasn't been properly address in years i don't think down or Kuyt are the answer out there tbh. I though downing started brightly but he had a poor second half which is a shame.
