I always do when doing homework, depends on the person. It might keep you active, but might make you slower too. I do because I'd get so bored otherwise, I even slip an earphone in during exams:D.

it doesn't help me but i still do it.. xD
especially when i'm doing maths.. i just need something to make it a happier experience!! :pac: but then i end up dancing in the chair.. so that's not good.. not good at all. xD
