Broken screen on psp 3000

My nephew dropped his psp and the screen would seem to be destroyed. Still works, but there is a big black bLob covering a lot of the top of it. Can the screen be replaced. Would be interested in either having someone repair out just buy the screen and repair myself. Or it worth while? Thanks

Screens are easily enough replaced. I done a shell change on a 1000 model here & you can see it's only a matter of clipping it out. There's probably some differences on a 3000, but it should be similar
